6 months agoBasically became my local arcade, very clean shop! Amazing and awesome staff that has no issues talking nerd stuff with ya! Also, just wanted to show off that I currently hold the record for Galaga in the store! #It'sOnLikeDonkeyKong to anyone who wants to surpass it! PS. to the previous record holder, don't hate me please lol.

2 months agoI would recommend trading in your games or just coming by to watch how attentive and polite these workers are!!^ Especially Max!! He made me feel like a priority from the moment I came in the door! I would come back to either buy games or sell!! They’re very fair! 11/10!! Better than GameStop by every means possible 😎🙏🏼💪🏼 Thank you Video Game Rescue And thank you Max for taking them time to test every console and games!! You’re a MVP!!

4 months agoGreat selection of new and classic games. Where they really shine is on accessories for classic systems, like NES, SNES, and Genesis. Maurice, Mark, and Casey were very helpful. They have a wide selection of original used and brand new controllers. The inventory changes often but they usually have the big name games for older systems. Their prices seem inline with the current retro market. Additionally they have a lot of really cool toys and posters. The arcade has some older classics, as well as MvC2 and rail shooters. This is the only location currently, the other location has shut down. Recently their stock of first party retro controllers has been better than in recent memory. VGR's prices on common games has also been better across various consoles, although they sort to have less stock of more collectable games. Their hours have changed some and they close at 7 PM on Saturdays now.

2 months agoMy hubby and I were having problems getting local 2 player games for the PlayStation 5 so we went in to the store and asked for advice. They suggested the Wii U so we bought the system and we are completely happy. The staff took their time to explain all the different abilities and got up hooked up with everything we needed. We are GenX so it took a lot of time to explain everything and we will continue to shop only there. Their knowledge and expertise can’t be matched by corporate type stores…

a month agoGreat little shop with everything from Super Nintendo to PS5 they also have some movie, wrestling, and anime merchandise. Did a small sale of some old games and a system and they took a little to go through them and check they worked but eventually offered a fair price, a significant amount more if you take store credit.
