4 weeks agoI recently visited the conservatory on the first Thursday of April. The conservatory has a bunch of pretty flowers and few cacti. It's was nice to walk around and spend some time here. This is a Victorian-style greenhouse, housing an extensive collection of exotic plants. Would highly recommend to check out this place if you are in the area. The park is great to stroll around or relax on a warm sunny day.

4 months agoEvery visit is the best six bucks I’ve spent in any given day/week/month. It’s a quaint and beautiful greenhouse filled plants of all kinds. You’ll find cacti, bird-of-paradise, ancient plants, tropical plants, flowers that look like they’re from another planet, and more! My favorite are the pitcher plants—one of which is native to Washington. This is a place to calm yourself by escaping into the beauty of life. During the holidays, this is also a place of great cheer. Staff are always friendly and some of the volunteers are very knowledgeable about plants, enhancing the experience further. The gift shop is also very cute. You will not regret a visit here. It’s such a pleasant addition to Volunteer Park and Seattle as a whole. Tip 1: it’s free on the first Thursday of every month. Tip 2: DO NOT touch the cacti. You’ll bleed.

3 months agoAwesome, just awesome. If you're a plant person, this is a great activity. You can go through it in 20m or an hour. It was $6 per person, free parking. Dress in layers if it's cold out as the temp is higher inside. The monsteras had fruit and that was cool to see in person. There were a lot of people on first dates so I guess this a go to spot for that. The Asian art museum is nearby, so you can hit both in one day or walk the park. They also have a lot of volunteer opportunities.

a month agoVisited here due to the amazing reviews but I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed. It's small not worth 6 dollars entry. If it was free maybe as it's got some pretty plants and is very relaxing. No drinks allowed inside not sure why such a strict rule as this isn't mentioned on the website. If you are in the park worth a quick visit but not worth a special trip there.

3 months agoI've come here over the past three decades. It's $6/ea now, and with any areas of it closed, you might question the value, unless you really love plants. I do, so it's always worth it to me. It's a nice spot to be warmed up in the winter. There is a tiny gift shop in the back, and it's part of Volunteer Park, so there's a whole park to explore as well, making this an easy addition to other adventures.
