2 years agoOne of the best parks I’ve found so far. It has a little play area for toddlers which includes an RV and a much larger playground for bigger kids (or ambitious littles). There’s also a big sand area, small mulch area, and everything is accessible. As others have noted, there are a few musical instruments including plastic bongo drums and some bells. They were my 15 month old son’s favorite part.

a year agoIt’s a hidden gem up above the busy falls. There’s ample parking - amazingly spots even on the busiest summer days. The trees are beautiful, the wading pool is large and cool, and the play park is entertaining for all ages. Our one criticism is that vehicle traffic - including buses and electric bikes - take precedent in the area over walking paths and regular bikes.

7 months agoIt’s a beautiful space, though it was packed when I got there (@2pm on a Sunday). There was not one table available and the gazebos were all full. That said, it cleared out more by 3pm, and I had a lovely time with my group. It’s such a valuable resource to have in the city. I highly recommend the Wabun Picnic Area, but be aware of peak times. Also, it was a perfect Fall day, bringing even more people out. This is another gem in our amazing park system!

a year agoAmazing venue, signs could use an update 70 people at a celebration of life for my brother. The second most talked about item. Finding the location. You have two paths to get in both are practical not marked or if they are around. They give little to no directions on where to go or how to get to the pavilions. You basically have to know someone on the inside. That’s messed up for how great that park and areas around are!

3 years agoWe always have such a great time at this park. Between the wading pool and playground to the quick hike to the falls, there is enough to enjoy all day long! Picnic area has always been clean, restrooms too, and the area is so much fun to explore. Pack a lunch and some water shoes!
