2 months agoBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful mountainous / forested parkland right in the urban core of Portland. If you’re from Los Angeles like I am, this would be Portland’s version of Griffith Park. And if you know Griffith, you know what a high compliment that is. Did a 7.5 mile run from Woodlark Hotel in downtown Portland, through Washington Park, up to Pittock Mansion, and back down. Stunning view of downtown Portland at sunrise on my run back down the hill. Just a great city park!

5 months agoThe first time we came here we had gone to the Japanese garden first, this park is right next to it so we got to enjoy a beautiful walk. It has so many flowers, lots of seating areas (which is the grass and some benches, and we can definitely enjoy a nice picnic here. Smelled just like roses, this place is so relaxing and just beautiful.

5 months agoThe perfect place to enjoy a walk through the trees to admire the Fall foliage. Trails are well marked. Parking isn't expensive. There are bathrooms. The views are really incredible. We found a bench to sit on and chat while we soaked up the forest calm.

a month agoOne of the best municipal park areas in the nation. Incorporates the zoo, Japanese garden, Hoyt arboretum, several memorials, forest hiking trails, and so much more.

a week agoOne of my favorites in Portland. HUGE park with trails going all over. Along with the International Rose Garden, its a great place to meander by yourself and ponder lifes biggest questions like macaroni and cheese or cheese and macaroni. Or bring some friends and have a picnic. Plenty of space for it!. Beautiful view of the city from above and of Mt Hood. It closes at 10pm but if you get there before that, Portland is beautiful at night.
