a year agoGorgeous place!!! Some huge old trees on and near the Hedgerows trail -- white oak and poplar and magnolia and cottonwood. Amazing to see such a variety of old trees all together. I haven't even explored the riverside yet and I already love it and know that I'll be back! I'll add more when I visit again.

a year agoWe had time to kill. We just happened to run into this place. The family we were staying with live only about 5 minutes from here & sadly never been. Now that we told them about it, they are going. They have little hiking trails. If U like history, stop by.

5 years agoBeautiful park to relax, picnic, take pictures in and hang the hammock. It's in a quiet neighborhood area so parking is street only. Lovely ruins to see and walk around. Some various short hiking trails around to explore. Great place to bring your dog, please keep them leashed though!

4 years agoI moved to WMV Dec. 2004. I’m still in love with my home and the neighborhood. There’s much beauty in the area to be explored, including the architecture and hiking/deer/bike trails. The actual park, where the Mill once stood, is a nature’s commodity for the City of ATL. Tree's Atlanta and a many volunteers planted most of the trees in the park in the Spring of 2005. They’re now working on adding more trees in the area where the Whittier mansion once stood. In addition, there’s a children's park and 2 brick skeleton structures that add to the historical vibe.
