"This sanctuary is a nice loving home to these creatures in need. Staff was knowledgeable about the animals history but didn’t talk as much about the specie itself unless you asked. This sanctuary is basically in the middle of nowhere so if you plan on doing something afterwords I definitely don’t think it’s going to be in this area. There aren’t many stores or quaint little shops… So your best bet is driving to Tampa or Saint Pete. Also when you drive-in you’ll see a gate on the right with a sign that’s their’s but you’ll want to enter through the second gate on the right. The tour will take"

"It was such a hot day today. I am from NY and my friends suggested going to Rainbow Springs. I was nervous because of gator warnings, but it was clean, beautiful and refreshing. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom which is 10 feet below. The water is always a steady 72° because it is spring fed. Very nice on a hot day. We swam with noodles because you can't touch bottom and will get tired eventually. I LOVED it there. It's so beautiful and there is a gift shop, an area to change, restrooms and trails to walk on all for $2 per person. Have fun!!"
