"I discovered this place by making a wrong turn and do not regret it at all. There is a parking lot, restrooms with a water fountain, kayak rental and launch, beach, beer garden, slides, and fun relics to climb on. We tried to fly a kite there and ended up enjoying the sunset. It is a beautiful park!"

"This was a little side trip that ended up being a fun stop for us. This area is a bird sanctuary. We only saw a few birds, but there was no shortage of snails along the path. The sign says there are scarlet tanagers there. I reeeeaally wanted to see one, but it was not meant to be. Lovely, peaceful area."
