6 months agoThis trail is a peaceful escape from the city, with lovely views of the creek and lots of green trees. The paths are well-kept and have options for beginners and more experienced hikers. One of the best parts is the variety—you’ll walk through quiet woods, cross pretty bridges, and even find some rocky areas for a bit more challenge. It’s perfect for hiking, running, or just a calm walk in nature. There are also spots to sit by the creek, so it’s great for both families and solo visitors.

a year agoWe love love love Wissahickon. We lived out in the blue ridge mountains before we moved here and spent all our time in the woods. While it's a bit of a drive it's the perfect place to spend time in nature and get away from the city for the afternoon. It is much cooler and the air is fresher. Plus you can explore the town and surrounding areas. It's beautiful out there. Hard to believe you're in the same state.

2 years agoWould like to give 5 stars but...too many people ignoring rules, like loud music and swimming, that keep park enjoyable for everyone. And pick up your trash! I guess it's worth 5 stars for Philly, but not compared to the parks out in the suburbs. Wow, I'm cranky.

6 years agoThe park never disappoints. Living in Philadelphia during all four seasons makes it always interesting to walk, run or even crawl through the trail system. The park has so many interesting places to go and features to see. Today my running group went to lovers leap, the Lincoln drive trail, Forbidden drive, and the toleration statue. If you are on the fence about visiting this part of the park be reassured that the paths are well traveled and well marked and above all else the views are well worth your time.
