About Wonder of Dinosaurs

Wonder of Dinosaurs is a multi-floor family entertainment venue that combines a dinosaur exhibition, some rides, and mini-golf on the 2nd floor, with a large, active play area featuring numerous bouncers, jumpers, and obstacle courses on the 3rd floor. It's particularly praised for its ability to 'exhaust' active children through energetic play. The facility is consistently described as clean, safe, and staffed by friendly, approachable individuals, often benefiting from manageable crowd levels.

What parents should know

Summarized from real visitor reviews.

Best for: Parents looking to 'exhaust' their active children, especially before bedtime (Review 1).Families with kids who love 'running around and bouncing' on inflatables and obstacle courses (Review 2).A clean, safe, and friendly play environment for children (Review 1, 5).Families who appreciate the flexibility of leaving the venue for meals or breaks and returning (Review 3).A generally uncrowded family outing, even on weekends, if timed right (Review 4, 5).

Why families love it

  • Extensive selection of bouncers, jumpers, and obstacle courses on the 3rd floor, including a 'bouncer maze', which is consistently highlighted as the main attraction (Review 2, 4).
  • Allows re-entry, enabling families to leave the venue, eat at the surrounding mall, and return to continue their visit (Review 3).
  • Consistently described as clean (Review 1, 2, 5).
  • Staff are friendly, pleasant, amicable, and approachable (Review 1, 2, 4, 5).
  • Often not crowded, even on weekends or if arriving soon after opening (Review 2, 4, 5).
  • Dinosaur exhibition on the 2nd floor is considered 'decent' (Review 4), and Review 5 highlights the 2nd floor's displays and rides as a favorite.

Insider tips

  • **Hydration:** Bring your own water or be prepared to purchase it at the front desk, as it can get warm and kids might sweat (Review 3).
  • **Timing:** Consider arriving soon after opening to avoid crowds (Review 5). Look into potential 'happy hour' times for good value (Review 1).
  • **Duration:** Plan for a longer visit if you intend to explore both the 2nd-floor museum/exhibits and the 3rd-floor active play areas (Review 1).
  • **Manage Expectations for 2nd Floor:** While one reviewer enjoyed the 2nd floor (Review 5), another found the activities, particularly the mini-golf, underwhelming and possibly defunct (Review 4). The highlight for active play is consistently the 3rd floor.

Good to know before you go

  • **Short Visits:** Do not plan a short visit if you wish to explore both the 2nd-floor museum/exhibits and the 3rd-floor active play areas, as you may miss out (Review 1).
  • **High Expectations for Mini-Golf:** Avoid if a fully functional and varied mini-golf experience is a primary draw, as it's reported to be 'defunct' and repetitive (Review 4).
  • **If Sensitive to Heat:** Be aware it can be 'a little too warm,' which might be uncomfortable for some children (Review 3).
  • The venue can be 'a little too warm,' causing kids to sweat (Review 3).
  • The 2nd floor's non-exhibition activities are considered 'underwhelming' by one reviewer, specifically noting only two toddler rides and a 'defunct' mini-golf course with missing pieces and repetitive holes (Review 4).
Crowds
Generally not crowded: 'Never crowded' (Review 2), 'Came on a weekend, not too packed' (Review 4), and 'wasn’t crowded' when arriving soon after opening (Review 5). This suggests manageable crowds, especially during off-peak times or early visits.
Value
Customers generally perceive the venue as good value for money, describing it as 'not very expensive!' (Review 2) and 'so worth it,' particularly if visiting during 'happy hour' (Review 1). No specific prices were mentioned in the reviews.
Food
Outside food is effectively allowed indirectly, as guests can 'go out and eat at the mall and come back' due to a re-entry policy (Review 3). Water is available for purchase at the front desk (Review 3).
Accessibility
No specific accessibility accommodations mentioned in the reviews.
Safety
Explicitly mentioned as 'safe' by one reviewer (Review 5).

"This is a great place, specially if you're wanting your kids to get exhausted before bedtime. Place is clean and friendly, parents had so many good things to say about this place. I went from 6pm-7:30pm, did not realize it was happy hour, but it was so worth it, wish I would have been there earlier tho, we didn't have a chance to go to the museum on the second floor. My kid loved it! Definitely a must try!"

"This place has been a family favorite for the last almost 3 years. My son loves running around and bouncing from one bouncer to the next. There are so many to enjoy. They have a bouncer maze that has brought so many happy giggles to our visits. Never crowded and is clean and not noisy at all. The staff have always been pleasant and friendly. Great place to take the kids and not very expensive!"
