9 months agoA great park with lots of activities for a variety of interests. They had a natural playground, normal playground, a toddler playground, shelter house, baseball field, open green space, fishing pond, some creek access, and a walking path. A plus was there were a ton of trashcans distributed throughout the park and none of them were full or overflowing. Great job on this park Gahanna!

a month agoThis park is a lot of fun! My 5 yo loves both the traditional climber and the natural play area. My 18 mo had a little trouble in the natural play area because there were so many slippery leaves 😅 There's definitely something for everyone here! There are the 2 play areas perviously mentioned, walking trails, bathrooms, ponds, baseball field, basketball court, and pavilion. It's also located within a neighborhood on a dead end so you don't have to worry about busy street traffic like some other parks in the area 😀 Definitely one to check out!

2 years agoWe have only ever come in the mornings, and it is never busy. It is beautiful and relaxing. It seems real fun for the kiddo as he likes to climb and run around. We also enjoy going to the creek as well. We haven't done the paths yet. Plenty of areas of shade and seating. Bathroom facilities are present as well. The whole place is kept up and clean.

2 years agoThis park is a hidden gem. I went birding several times this spring but the wild flowers kept distracting me from the birds. It is clean, well maintained, and abundant with wildlife and beautiful woodland habitat. The bluebells were sensational. It has a paved path used by hikers, walkers, and bicyclists as well as bird watchers. The moist bottomland habitat along Big Walnut Creek has a diverse mix of wildflowers and wetland vegetation such as toad shade, dutchman's breeches, buttercups, and many more. It's regularly used but I haven't found it to be overcrowded. It also has a nice playground if you have kids as well as a pond where several people were fishing.
