a month agoPhotos from the trail leading to Woodward Park, the park itself, and the nature preserve down in the basin. Woodward Park and the trail are beautiful, especially in the spring. It is wonderful to have that natural resource in the city.

a week agoSaturday 4/26 we had a car meet here. Filled up the whole parking lot. The surroundings were very complimentary and quiet. The pack of geese within the area was also an enjoyable site. Parking isn't free, but $5.40 for 9 hours is very reasonable.

a year agoWe went to this park so that I can continue to be active and go for a walk. 1 hour of activity. There was a trail that he insisted we walk on. I was perfectly fine maneuvering through the park past the playgrounds and people. There's quite a bit of stuff to see at this park. Throughout the park there are many benches and other items dedicated to people in their memory. There are wooden statues of bears. A little area where someone can perform there's concrete benches with tiles that anyone in the town can create a very pretty tile to add to the seated area. I'm sure this place is much more greener than it is today. I would love to see the park in the Spring and Summer. I had a great experience and a wonderful walk. There were people jogging on the trail, people walking their dogs, people riding their bikes, people on dirt bikes practicing stunts on the hill areas of the park. Lots of squirrels, and birds. It was a cool sunny day and I took plenty of pictures. Children were playing at the playground. People were gathered at the tables for parties, bbqs, and picnics, eating food and enjoying the outdoors. It's a very nice recreational park.

a year agoThis is my second home! I am a wildlife photographer, and the amount of species that make this park home is amazing! There are fun events going on at least once a month and the park is large enough that even if these events are going on there is plenty of room for my photography or family's to come out and enjoy themselves! It is also very affordable to rent out spaces to hold your own parties. I love this, though. i do wish they could get a handle on some of the homeless. I don't have a problem with them being there, just that some are rather aggressive.
