So excited with anticipation to see the Raleigh X-mas lights, and WOW! What a disappointment. I expected animated lights like they used to do when this attraction started in the early 1990’s, would go 3-4 times, and I wouldn’t go back to this attraction if someone else paid. Many lights throughout the tour were not lit, not working, and the ones that worked were dull. The scenes were too close the road to get the jest of what it could have looked like, but it still sucked. At the end of the attraction was the best part and highlight of the 20 minute tour, where the people from The Healing place were having a great time. The lights in the neighborhood where are WAY better. Don’t waste your money or time

It was OK. The kids enjoyed it, but even with a timed ticket we waited around 30 minutes to get in and started. Two lanes all the way through so you have to try to stay in the gap of the vehicles next to you, to see it all. For what we saw, the price seems pretty high. At $5 or $10, it's probably worth it. But as others have mentioned, it's mostly small stuff, repetitive, and plenty of lights weren't working.

We enjoyed it. Yes $20 is $20 but for a family of 6. That is a good price, but for only 2 people probably not. Also DON'T buy the Fast Lane, it was 14 min slower. Igloos were kind of cool. They are giant bubbles, worth it for big families.

Wow, is anyone at WRAL listening? For 50+ reviews and 2.5 average, something is not quite right. Sure, some people can expect to much but not working lights and 2 vehicles side by side in a lane barely made for 1 is more than I need to know. I went through the ticket purchase process to see the fee's and $40 for the fast pass but wait, there's a ticket fee, credit card fee and of course sales tax making $40, almost $50, no thanks. FAST LANE VEHICLE (up to 8 passengers) Dorothea Dix Park Section: FAST LANE $40.00 Ticket Fee: $4.02 Credit Card Fee: $1.29 State Tax: $2.90 Total: $48.21

I am confused about the popularity of this event. It was a series of small somewhat random lighted yard ornaments with a couple of short light tunnels to drive through, some tree decorations, and a few inflatables. Our littlest ones still liked seeing them but it was not worth the money or the drive. We can see better displays in nearby neighborhoods for free. It is also a bit tricky to drive through the very narrow lanes making it hard for whoever is driving to see anything at all. Thankfully we did not wait terribly long because that would have made it even more disappointing. We will definitely not be going back and I hope this helps someone else save their time and money.
