4 months agoFirst time riding the new Zilker Eagle train. Haven't been to this park in 7 years the playground is the same but the little train is new. We enjoyed it. Side note: the restrooms are far away from the playground past the construction area at the nature center. Would be nice if they put one closer to the park.

3 months agoI absolutely LOVE THIS TRAIN! LOVE THIS PLACE ALL AROUND! I have taken all of my children to this train. First son was in 1995, then my twins in 1999, and now my last child in 2025 and every child has LOVED THIS TRAIN!! PLAN on buying multiple tickets up front because one train ride is NOT ENOUGH! THE CHILDREN TRULY ENJOY THE TUNNELS AND they get to scream in the last tunnel WHICH IS ALWAYS 🤣 FUNNY!! Even my autistic son liked screaming in the last tunnel. Just plan on buying multiple tickets and you'll truly enjoy yourself too. Last weekend (January 2025) we spent 21$ per ride for the three of us - we rode five times and probably done more but they close at five on Fridays. Even after all the world changes- the Zilker Zephyr train ride remains WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL ENJOYABLE AND FUN !!! BRING an umbrella to block the sun if you come in the summer-but it's a beautiful ride in our mild Texas winters. !!!!

2 months agoGreat attraction for kids and entertaining for adults too! Lines can be a bit long (though it goes quickly with each load). But plan accordingly. Playground near the station is a great way to kill time

6 years agoSummary: Fun for the kids. The Details: A bit pricey for the short trip but fun never the less. The train has a lot of sun exposure so it may be a bit uncomfortable for the little ones on the hot days. Overall it's fun and scenic. I do recommend!

6 years agoVery cool, and super affordable. The train runs every hour on the hour. They have a gift shop which is cool. They are cash only but have an ATM. The ride was scenic and BEAUTIFUL!! Right next to a forest and river. There was a man playing music for us as we drove past and the kids loved it. It goes under a narrow bridge and through the park. Give it a try! It's awesome.
