2 weeks agoI went in Easter Sunday afternoon and spent several hours gathering equipment for a San Juan Kayak tour in July. I want to thank Brent and another gentleman (I forgot his name, but he has worked for Alder Creek 11 years). Both of them spent quality time helping me select the perfect gear needed and even gave me some excellent beta on ocean, touring kayaks. This is a fantastic shop with deep inventory on anything canoe or kayak related. They were more interested in selling me equipment that fit and never tried to up sale any of their products. I highly recommend shopping and working with their friendly and knowledgeable staff. I definitely will be back for both equipment and future lessons.

a year agoJust moved up to Portland and researched some local kayak shops and this one popped up so, I spent a lot of time on their website after I saw a posting from them on Facebook marketplace. After seeing their prices online, thought I’d go by and see what they were about and I’m glad I did. Front desk were super friendly and let me browse by myself, helped when I asked. I ended up buying a kayak that day because their prices really can’t be beat for what you get. Thanks for the help getting the kayak and I’ll be back to start rigging this one up for myself.

a year agoThese guys are great, held on to my kayak for more than a year while we were transferring from Vancouver to Seattle. They always have the best equipment for our range and their service is amazing. Thanks guys!

3 years agoReserved online for SUP for George Rogers Park and was very easy to reserve and pay. The boards were older boards without any tethers or straps so wouldn't be able to strap anything down. The young teens who were manning the rental station were pleasant. The 'beach' is dirt not sand so be prepared for that.
