AMC Regency 24

AMC will always be my "go-to" theater. However, today was the only day Purple Rain the Movie came back to the Big Screen. Even though visiting I heard my inner child screaming for a Revolution and we ended up at AMC Jacksonville. I like how large and neat the theater is. The recliners were awesome, the smell and the concessions not looking as sanitary as I would like is why the 3 stars. Staff was pleasant and courteous. I loved the Dolby surround sound and Purple Rain is, was, and will forever be a timeless classic 💜

Nice staff and a generally clean environment, but the soda lid dispenser looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. The movie screen also appears dirty, with a weird grainy texture. On the bright side, the movie chairs are excellent.

Good theater. Come here often. Good movies. Now they have small machines to pick small toys from. Which looks cool but still they all packed too tight to pick up. They could add arcade games for us to play while we wait for a movie to start. Since the area is dead they could use the arcade games to make it more attractive for people to come in and stay. The longer the person stays the better the chance they will spend money.

I have been going to regency AMC since it open up and it has went through all sorts of iterations over the years. Currently as of March 2025, it is a pleasant experience. The theater I was in has been remodeled and now has reclining leather like seats that were clean and comfortable. The concessions were perfectly adequate but pricey as expected. I would definitely go back.

I love coming to this movie theater. It's super close to my house. It's usually empty. They have spacious reclining seats, and you can't beat the $5 Tuesdays all day! That's when you sign up for their program. You can also get a regular sized drink and a small popcorn for $5.
