Amherst State Park

This is an underrated gem. Great for walking or riding bikes. I imagine it would be a nice place to splash in the creek too. Wish there was a real bathroom instead of a porta potty but no complaints otherwise.

Great park! It's small but wonderful for small walks. We spotted 2 deers and a river while walking on a bird trial. You might need to deviate a little bit from the main road to explore raw walking paths with beautiful nature views. It's really worth visiting at least once!

Great place to bring your dog! Lots of little trails and creeks to play in! Open year round apparently.

We went on this trail today. It was a very nice walk. There’s a shallow river flowing within the park. The environment is calm, fresh and peaceful; a nice place to chill. I recommend this place if you just want to wind down and talk a walk.
