Insider tips

  • Emphasize teamwork and clear communication, as success 'unequivocally requires teamwork' within your group (max 8 players).
  • Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers, as the game is 'very active' and rooms can get 'sweaty FAST'.
  • Pay close attention to pre-round instructions and don't hesitate to ask staff for clarification to avoid wasting crucial game time.
  • If celebrating a win, specifically ask staff about the 'certificate and pins' incentive, as it's not always proactively communicated.
  • Be prepared for the last challenge to be the most difficult and potentially confusing due to complex mechanics or occasional tech issues.
  • The entire activity takes approximately one hour to complete.

Good to know before you go

  • Groups with very young or exceptionally 'rowdy' children who may struggle with following game rules or disrupting the experience by opening doors prematurely.
  • If you have low tolerance for heat or sweating, as the rooms lack sufficient ventilation and get 'sweaty FAST'.
  • If you expect perfectly smooth gameplay without any technical glitches, as the last game can be confusing and tech might not always read body movements well.
  • If you dislike situations requiring constant communication and teamwork, as it is critical for success.
  • Rooms can get 'sweaty FAST' due to active gameplay, with specific requests from reviewers for more fans and ventilation.
Value
Offers a unique, highly interactive, and active experience described as 'steps above an escape room', providing strong value for entertainment. While specific costs are not mentioned, the positive sentiment, especially regarding birthday parties, suggests good value for the memorable experience provided.

"So I took my cousins here in 2019 and they LOVED it. When they came back to visit me in NY, this was the #1 activity they mentioned to do. Beat the bomb unequivocally requires teamwork. There are 8 max per group and if you can't communicate with each other, you will not be successful enough to "beat the bomb" (though beating the bomb is pretty hard as it is). What I liked: -they have free lockers for your belongings -the games are pretty fun (there are 4 challenges, and depending how you do it adds to your time at the end to attempt to disarm the bomb) -They provide a suit in various sizes t"

From the moment you walk in, you're immersed in a world of fun and excitement. The challenges are cleverly designed, pushing you to work as a team and think outside the box.
