Bessie Estell Park

"It's a small park, but it's been renovated recently with nice playground equipment. There is a big field to run in, but the street the park is on is pretty busy. Parking is limited and the bathrooms are usually locked, but it's a fun park for short visits."

"I'm not native to Bham, but I make frequent trips to UAB as an oncology patient. We stopped by this park after passing it by chance. There's no signs that I recall. We were hoping for a restroom, to stretch our legs & let our 7 year old daughter play for a minute. There's probably more to the park than just the small playground area we stopped at. There's no restroom anywhere near the playground. The playground is small but nice. It has the nice, new rubbery padding underneath which is great, especially for the younger kids.
