"This is a great area to hike and picnic. We came here because we did not get a reservation at Red Rock Park. Beautiful scenic views, nice hiking trails and parking."

"I was here this morning. The weather was beautiful, we arrived at about 6:30 in the morning and it wasn't too crowded so there was plenty of parking. There's lots of trails that head off from this entrance. We did the Basin Trail, and I believe the Overlook Scramble. As someone new to desert hiking, they were pretty challenging at times, but overall, great. We ended the hike at the boardwalk, which was a welcome respite from walking on loose rocks that were threatening to shatter my ankles."
