Great trail, very nice staff. However, my party was overcharged about $200 dollars, which they did correct, and then once we got to the river a third of us had to wait about 30mins for the kayaks they forgot to bring. Other than that, great experience. Just make sure the charge is correct and be certain what you need is on the bus before you go down. Yes, we did book in advance, mistakes happen. However, it was a large party though (18ppl) so they still get 4 stars! I still recommend this one!

We took the 7 mile for my birthday yesterday. Camp Hi employees were professional and kind even when we had to delay our trip due to part of our group getting lost on the way there. The sights were beautiful and the trip was so fun. I'd highly recommend.

We did the 12 mile trip and tent camped after. Great stretch of the Cuyahoga with various types of greenery. Water levels were relatively low this time of the year and the current was very calm. Highly recommend this trip; it was very peaceful and was a great trip! The staff was very professional and easy to work with in scheduling our trip and camping ahead of time. The tent camping site that we had was directly looking over the river and we were lucky enough that we got our whole site to our selves, so we had plenty of space to spread out it. Definitely worth checking this spot out! We start off our summer each year with an annual trip, and this will definitely be a trip we will return to!

Seems a bit steep to float in the water IMO. Over $200 cash for two adults and our youngest (10y/o) in our canoe, and three kids in individual kayaks for a one hour afternoon trip on a Sunday. This wasnt even a holiday weekend or anything. Either way, That's alot of money, especially for such a short trip allowance. We signed up and did the prebook online for the middle trip (it wasn't the shortest one but wasn't the super long one either) option which was perfect, but the signal in the area of Camp Hi is basically nonexistent and ultimately timed out with an error message so we had to redo everything in person. Totally fine had we not had to wait so long to pay and then wait for the other family to finish their consent on the ONE ipad they have. If not for that & also the horrible signal that way,, we prob could've made the 2:30pm since it was 2:23pm when we were all checked in and paid but the older lady said no, even knowing We were there celebrating our daughters birthday. Unfortunately, with costs this high-for an hour trip- we will never return to this place. Tbh-you can rent two jetskis out on Lake Erie for the same amount of time, for almost the same exact cost when all said and done. Because this was what our daughter chose to do with some friends for her 15th birthday celebration, we rolled with it. . Also purchased a cute t-shirt for her $30 🫣 . **FYI..If it's your first time here, the instructions aren't very clear as far as when you get to a specific place to phone their number so they can arrange transportation to bring you back. It's difficult to doso when there's ZERO signal for cellphones in that stretch of area. There were two other sets of families that were having the same issues as us trying to paddle to an alternate point to try to find a signal to call. At&t, Verizon & Sprint subscribers do NOT have signal in the area they instruct you to stop at to call them for instructions on where you're supposed to wait, and when someone will be coming. It was a real treat having to row against the current to try and help the 2 other families with children that were just as confused as we were about where/what the correct route & instructions were. Also, the sign they tell you to look for-does NOT say Camp Hi as we were told (and the other families also)It seems like they asuume everyone's done this prior & knows their routine. Clearly, we weren't the only ones confused and lost and unsure as to where exactly we were supposed to be. It's also your own responsibility to load your kayak, your paddles, and also your wet life jackets while being crammed into a van with not enough seating or air conditioning or capability of opening a window.. Hold your feet up and make sure kids do too in the van bc when the driver rearranges things, he violently slammed the paddles under the seats so forcefully, he sliced the back of my husband's heel right open. Otherwise, the day was enjoyed by the majority of our group, the photos show that 🙂 Water was entirely too cold and some downed trees made maneuvering tricky, but the recent storms were to blame. Just paddled around!

My wife and I kayaked the upper 7 mile trip and the 5 mile trip down stream. Took about 5 hours. Beautiful scenic areas in 7 mile segment where we saw muskrats, mink, hawks, geese, ducks, and other wildlife. First stretch has slower current but picks up downstream. Camp Hi personal were very helpful and equipment was very good. I’d highly recommend Camp Hi for a fun day on the river.
