2 years agoGreat Food, Staff, and merit badges! Worth the Money!!!! Very cozy, quiet, and the tents and cots are not the best BUT the lake is beautiful! When I was there l slept right through a thunder storm which I thought was very peaceful. troop 4 Domenic Conzemius

6 years agoStaff is amazing. They really connect with the scouts and teach them more than just merit badges. Food was pretty good for camp food. Lake courage is beautiful. Very few biting insects. Facilities are mostly older but are being updated. Can't wait for next time!

2 years agoThis really is the quintessential scout summer camp experience. They have a wonderful lake where you can try kayaking, canoeing, rowboating, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, taking early morning polar plunge, try the mile swim or of course try your luck on watermelon island. If the weather behaves you might even get a chance to camp out at watermelon Island. They have tons of merit badges and programs. Things like shooting, archery, ATV, COPE, pioneering, swimming, life saving, wilderness survival, you name it. At summer camp you will sleep in a canvas tent with a cot and a wooden floor. I've never needed a mosquito net although you will get crickets and other harmless bugs in your tent. Each site will have our shower house and latrine. There are adult showers and toilets (super clean) near the trading post. At camp Liberty each visiting troop will pick up food each meal to bring back to their campsite to cook. If you are a scout or a parent of a scout and have a chance to visit I highly recommend heritage reservation and camp Liberty specifically.

5 years agoAbsolutely LOVE Camp Liberty!! Second time I have been with our Troop and the program was awesome. Gave 4 stars because of campsite - just feel a little effort could be put into fixing some tents so scouts (and scouters) could have had less wet stuff to deal with after it rained.
