months agoVery pretty this time of year. We had a picnic by the creek and fall trees on a beautiful fall day. There are a few playground structures there for kids as well as a covered shelter with picnic tables available.

months agoWill definitely go back again for a hike and during warm days so the kids can splash. Some people here found a quiet place to chill and meditate, saw others picnicking. Spots to grill, picnic tables and climb. There was a playground on the otherside of the water but we were just hiking around.

a year agoCherokee is a beautiful park, right in the middle of a big city. You feel like you’re no longer in the city, and can rest and take a peaceful walk on the loop or the other trails. I visit this park at least once a week! It’s normally very clean, I haven’t ever had issues with trash except maybe in one of the bathrooms (I think someone camped out in it).

months agoThis is or favorite park in Louisville. Nice to seat in the river and have some drinks and food with family and friends. Very hard to find parking every time. It’s frustrating! I guess the city doesn’t want too much people at a time on this place and that is why it hasn’t increased the parking area. Please, remember to pick up all your trash!!!

months agoThis is one of many of my favorites in Cherokee Park. Currently it is not safe to get in the water because of ecoli. It's being cleaned and will continue to be cleaned. Please don't get in the water here or anywhere along Beargrass Creek.
