10 months ago♿️ Gorgeous park and trail right against the Black Creek. There is so much here, yet it is still very natural and serene. You are able to park and walk to the Greenway Trail or just stay inside thevpark and walk along the trail that covers the entirety of land the parks keeps up. I would love to see a special needs playground added in the coming year. A wheelchair swing, sensory toys for the blind and deaf, so all kids could enjoy them and it would help children learn to accept each other and their differences. I came on the first day to walk another section of the Greenway Trail and parked here to start. Discovered they had their own walking trail inside the park and came back again. I have been breaking the Greenway down into sections as I build my tolerance and stamina. The trail inside the park follows the creek and the animals all over the place make it fun. It starts in the parking lot and you will find the sign for which trail and how many laps equal a mile and a quarter (hint:3). You will find different levels for different types of mobility as well. Some of it is paved, some crushed gravel, and there is some dirt thrown in for good measure. There are so many areas available for to picnic and party, there are even handicap accessible picnic/party areas. The only difference I noticed is where some could have parties up to 30, the wheelchair accessible areas were up to 25. Honestly, no matter how hot it is, this park is definitely a must visit, whether you have children or not. There are 3 parking areas. I found a swing built as an Eagle project and sat in it for a little while. When I got up, another man decided he wanted to sit for a while. It is a great place to think. Would love to see more of these in the future. I love finding swings in parks for adults, especially near water. A hammock garden would also be a nice touch. Just something extra relaxing about it that melts every worry you have away. There are benches everywhere, including one that is sort of secluded and facing the water. This park and trail is 10/10 for accessibility, but would love to see a few additions, such as the wheelchair swing and sensory area. It would help if there was some extra gravel in places to make following the path easier. There is a large green space above the playground for whatever sport or game you can think of. When I got there 2 guys were playing catch. The playground has a covered area for parents watching their kids play and this could easily be expanded, the playground and the pavilion. Maybe some swings for Mom or Dad? Just something to thing about Fultondale Parks and Recreation. One of a kind park with inclusion for everyone. There is lighting, but I think it is to help guide you to the dog park that is also on this property. A large fenced enclosure with lots to do in the shade. It is does not close until 10 pm and reopens at 5 am. Great park. Great trail. Wheelchair accessibility has been the best I have seen so far in any park.

4 months agoIt a nice park to go for a walk or bring your dog to the dog area. I wish the play ground was bigger or had more for the kids to do in it.

3 months agoExcellent park for families. Pet friendly areas as well. It also connects to the Clack Creek Walking/Biking trail system. Restrooms and ample paved parking available. Well maintained. Quick side road access to a nice hotel and restaurant too. Party tables available. Great place to spend the day.

a year agoAwesome place to take your dog! Fenced in areas for small and large dogs as well as trails where you can take your dog on a leash. Nice views. Good spot for Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom.

5 years agoFun shaded playground with sections for big and little kids. Picnic tables under a shaded overhang. We loved all the fun animals and walking trail next to the creek.
