a year agoNice clean park. This is my neighborhood park so I have spent a lot of time here with my Daughter. Never really have ran into any trouble here, usually always good family folks or kids from the high school. Only downside is that there are no bathrooms.

a year agoWent there today and it is a beautiful park. I love how shaded the playground is. My daughter had a lot of fun here. The only downside is there is no bathroom here.

3 months agoWho was Claire Weeks? She was amazing, and a plaque should be placed in the park! I found this info online: Claire Weeks was a past president of the Terra del Sol Neighborhood Association. She held the office for 14 years, never losing her enthusiasm to better the neighborhood in which she lived since 1969. During her years in office, she worked tirelessly to establish a good working relationship with the elementary and high schools, community pool, businesses, and churches in the neighborhood. Ms. Weeks obtained grants which brought playground equipment, lighting, and a gazebo to Terra del Sol Park. Since the upgrades that she made possible, weddings, parties, and neighborhood events, such as the annual children's Halloween Party, have been held there. Claire was very active in organizing groups to clean the washes in the neighborhood, paint over graffiti, patrolling the neighborhood at night, and created a social group for neighborhood seniors. She coordinated several large neightborhood cleanups, even matching up volunteers to help those unable to do their own work. In addition to being an advocate for the Terra del Sol neighborhood, Claire also volunteered with the Top Dog Agency for 10 years helping to train dogs to assist their owners with daily tasks. She also read the newspaper for the visually impared on Sun Sounds Radio.

a year agoThis is a really lovely, small neighborhood park with a small to medium play structure and a couple swings for kids. It has a large large yard for kids and pets to play in. Along it's Eastern side it has a line of trees that is nice. The are large trees on the west side of the park and a "rotunda(?)" For covered small events. The is a covered table at the northeast corner. It's kept very nice year-round. Overall, a very nice small neighborhood park. It's very regularly maintained and the same guys maintain the park all the time. They're really nice when you thank em for keeping the park nice.

6 months agoGreat shade around park. Not a good park for kids under 5 unless a parent will accompany child at the slides. Steps and end of slides are a good distance from the ground.
