3 weeks agoA Must-Visit Gem in Denver – 5 Stars! The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is truly a standout attraction that offers something for everyone. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with stunning exhibits, immersive displays, and a sense of wonder that’s perfect for all ages. The museum’s layout is intuitive and well-designed, making it easy to navigate whether you’re with young kids, on a date, or exploring solo. The wildlife dioramas are beautifully crafted and lifelike, offering a deep appreciation for animals in their natural habitats. The gems and minerals exhibit is absolutely mesmerizing, and the space and dinosaur sections are always a crowd favorite. We especially loved the hands-on science activities and the rotating special exhibits, which keep each visit fresh and exciting. The planetarium and IMAX theater also provide amazing experiences that really elevate your visit. Staff and volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share fun facts or help out. There’s also a great café with decent food and plenty of space to sit and relax. This museum is a perfect blend of education and entertainment, and we can’t recommend it enough for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re into astronomy, archaeology, or animals, you’ll leave feeling inspired and curious about the natural world!

in the last weekApril 2025 Visited after more than 12-15 yrs.. That long ago so take my impressions with a little understanding. Weekday visit, 10:00am Entry (tickets bought ahead online). VERY fast entry, just walked straight as directed where our pre-printed tickets were scanned. At 10am, parking was tricky but, am sure, harder to find a spot had we arrived at 11am. Good crowd at 10am but, triple (worse) crowd an hour later. Definitely, a destination for school outings as a lot(!!!!) of kids. To enjoy the museum at leisure, I definitely recommend going on a weekend, avoiding the school trips. Only got tickets for Gen.Admission and my personal exhibition favorite was the Gates Planetarium and the Gems and Minerals. Would have wanted to browse around the Museum Shop but, decided to forego it. Bathrooms - very clean...or, maybe, just got lucky to go to one less frequented. Tip: A lot of bathrooms so, go to one far from the main halls/exhibitions. Construction/renovation work in many areas so, thankful that, upgrade is being done as it does feel needed. Hopefully, will revisit in a year.

2 weeks agoI had an absolute blast! I went alone as I was on a work trip that rolled over the weekend and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Plenty of things to see and interactions along the way. The paleontologist in the Dino exhibit was just cute as a button and taught me a bunch of cool facts! It took me about 3 hours to actually take everything in and was a good walk if you want to get your steps in.

a month agoWe took our 5 year old there. He loves museums. It was quite busy when we went, but you know I'm glad to see it busy. There's a lot of stuff for kids to explore and see. There are full skeletons of dinosaurs too, which is really cool.

a month agoI visited the museum about a decade ago, but I visited tonight to see the short movie about the Teen Rex that the DMNH helped extract near Marmarth, ND. It was an interesting story. Afterward, I toured the History of Life exhibit, it's full of spectacular fossils and casts of ancient life. Definitely would recommend as a family outing, it's a tad pricey, but what isn't these days?
