Eccles Theater

This theater is a beautiful venue in the heart of Salt Lake City. With a stunning entrance and beautiful lights, any performance here would be amazing. We saw Nate Bargatze perform and loved him, and really enjoyed the design on the theater as well. There is also a spot in the front for food trucks as well, which made the event that much better. We hope to come back soon for another performance!

A lovely venue with top-notch sound quality and beautiful decor. Minus two stars for placing a concessions stand and chair on Tier 2 level right in front of a painting, potentially causing damage (shown in my photo) to the artwork. Please move the painting or the concessions stand to a better place!!! 😢

Went to this theater for the first time ever to see Shrek the Musical. It’s such a lovely place and also really clean and peaceful. I’m glad there are two entrances from the front and back roads. It made it so much easier as we were walking in from the city creek part. Everything was really tidy and the workers were very informative. I loved the setups and lighting in the lobby. The show was amazing! Phenomenal work from the cast and crew, especially the set design. The seats were comfy and we had a good view from tier 1. 10/10 will be coming back for more shows.

So I found the facility to have a nice design, solid seating, and good audio. The staff were all VERY helpful and nice. Coat check was complimentary for our show so that was nice, though I dont know if that is always the case. My issue was the concessions. So while I understand that liqour must be consumed in the self contained lobby bar (Utah things) they offer concessions with beer, wine, sodas, and seltzers (and few candy type snacks) the problem is they close them and hour before the show ends. We were staying after for a VIP event, and we got quite thirsty about 45 mins before the show ended not knowing about the concessions closing. So it ended up being nearly 2 hours til I finally found a vending machine back stage for a water. We typically like to have some beverages when we see a comedy show and it was just a little odd and inconvenient so we cut off in such a way. Otherwise great experience but minus a star because of that issue.

We have been season ticket holders at the Eccles since it first opened in 2016. Every year there are great headliner events like Hamilton, and Les Miserable. Production quality overall is excellent for these traveling casts. The theatre itself if conveniently located, surrounded by good restaurants and easy parking. The theatre offers excellent seating and the sound is excellent too.
