"Awesome place to hike. Up the way trail is pretty steep but once you finally get to the top it's an awesome view. Dog friendly and so many options at the top to explore. On the way down we did the other landing botanical staging loop."

"Beautiful and moderately challenging hike! Took the way up trail. You’ll immediately start inclining (steeper incline) for about a mile until you flatten out (slightly less incline, but still inclining) - bring lots of water! My partner and I went through a liter, however we should have brought a liter each on a hot day. It’s worth the views when you get to the top :) you’ll reach about 1400 ft elevation. We took several trails and took a 7 mile adventure total. We felt it in our legs the next day for sure! At the end of our hike we checked out the interpretative Center which is worth the st"

"First time there. Didn't know anything about it really. They have a visitor center. I was greeted by peaceful, beautiful harp music in there. I thought it was coming from speakers. Nope. Live person in there playing! Such a magical start to my first time hike there. I love the hike up, fairly rigorous. But really enjoyed the reward at the top! Many junctions to continue elsewhere but you can stop at the various picnic areas and enjoy the spectacular 360 views. Including the full Olivenhain Reservoir. I cannot recommend this hike more. Go. Now."
