2 months agoGreat views of the city! According to my GPS this is the same entrance as Grandview Park with residential street parking. There is a playground for children and hiking trails that are dog friendly!

2 weeks agoEasy access to get to nature when you're in the city. It's a quick, quick trip to get to these trails, but it's definitely something I'd say is a city park. It's so great to have a place to hike a trail and be surrounded by nature, but the path crosses a few neighborhood streets. It's overall quiet, but at a few points you'll see the highway. So if you're seeking a nature escape and a city unplug, this isn't it. If you're just looking to not go out of your way and get in the trees for a few miles, this is it! FYI, it's surrounded by a really dense neighborhood, so a bit of trash and lots of broken glass. Proceed with caution if you're hiking with dogs!

8 months agoReally nice views of downtown Pittsburgh, not too crowded on a Sunday night. Subtracting a star mostly due to the loud show boating folk in cars and on motorcycles. Otherwise, you can walk to the end and take the incline ride to the bottom of the incline.

3 years agoI hiked in starting from the Green Leaf Trailhead starting just before sunrise, which was an amazing decision. Hiking along and emerging on Mt. Washington at sunrise is the way to go. There are many outlooks and several outcroppings that offer an even better, less obstructed view. On a weekday morning I had the place to myself. Wonderful views of the city and neat neighborhoods to explore.
