Traveling Is Our Passion
2 months agoHey, we are Vicky 🇵🇪 and Malte 🇩🇪 from the travel blog "Traveling Is Our Passion." For a full one-day Pittsburgh guide, check out our blog. West End Overlook Park is one of those spots you don’t want to miss when visiting Pittsburgh! It’s a peaceful park with stunning views of the city skyline, the Ohio River, and even the famous Mount Washington. You can take a short walk or just relax and enjoy the amazing scenery. It's a perfect spot for photos, especially at sunset. The park is not very crowded, so it’s a great place to escape the busy city life for a little while. There’s a small parking area nearby, making it easy to get to. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to enjoy Pittsburgh from a different perspective, this is the perfect spot!

a month agoA great little Overlook. The area is serviced and has restrooms and water fountains. It would be nice if there was a binocular installed

6 months agoBeautiful park to take a nice walk. The lock walkway is cute and the overlook is beautiful. Only downside is, there is not much parking and just feels like there could be more there than what there is.

a year agoIt’s a small neighborhood park on a hill providing a great panorama of Central Pittsburgh 😎😎😎. Indeed, the vistas even in the dead winter exhibits a lovely skyline of city. The backdrop are three rivers, the Allegheny and the Monongahela joining at a triangular point to form the Ohio. The Ohio of course joins the great Mississippi further west. The still waters of the rivers give a lovely reflection of the few “skyscrapers” of the business district. Adding to the view are bridges over the rivers.
