a month agoWhat A CLEAN, friendly , and truly a GEM of a campsite right on the Chesapeake Bay. They are close to Food Lion, and they also have a camp store and information center with some ultra helpful passionate people about where they work. Legit 5 stars, from Rangers I needed to ask questions to the parking shack everyone was super friendly and informative. The facilities are top-notch. BATHROOMS=CLEAN, SHOWERS= CLEAN with ample hot water 💧. I'm just a tent car camper, but this was one of the nicest parks I've been to with and absolutely fantastic staff to match. So friendly and informative about trails, local flora and fauna, and the history of Cape Henrt. Cannot say enough good things about this place. This is a result of the people who work there being respected for what they do, every job, and appreciated for their enthusiasm, commitment to safety, and just all-around good vibes. This is such an excellent spot I couldn't recommend enough. Definitely will be coming back. Loads or water and elec hookups for more sophisticated rigs, but I'm just a tenter still, and I absolutely adored the site and the kick ass people that work there. I'm definitely coming back again and would recommend it.

5 months agoOverall, a beautiful park with an amazing beach. Ocean is spectacular with an amazing view of the bridges with various boats traversing the horizon. Beach wasn’t busy and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Has a reception area, shop and other facilities with a boardwalk leading to the ocean. A very nice beach, with great camping nearby. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to camp, or hit the beach for the day!

4 months agoA beautiful park with miles of trails. I entered at the 64th Street entrance. Serene beautiful drive with a few spots to pull off and park. I still have lots more to explore here. If you live here buy the parks pass. Otherwise there is a park fee for day use. No camping or overnight staying.

3 weeks agoGreat park in Virginia Beach! Sites with electric and water that are large and many are private. Really nice new bathrooms with hot water. Hiking trails. Close to everything🌊🌊

2 months agoWe enjoyed walking on the beach and on one of the trails. Plenty of parking and restrooms. Visitors center had several interesting displays and informative placards. Lot of thing had washed up on the beach from the recent storm.
