Gear For Adventure

We wanted to try snow-shoeing so we rented them here for the weekend. They were reasonably priced, and the kind person working there showed us how to put them on, gave us some tips, and recommended some parks to check out. A good experience and we will patronize this business again for future adventuring needs!

Excellent, knowledgeable service and quality products. The store is not a big box store. The products seem to have been chosen with care and the owners and staff are very knowledgeable about the pro's and con's of each. I received excellent assistance in choosing a water purification solution, insect repellent, hiking boots for SE Asia, and a backpack I've been looking for for 3 years. Gear for Adventure had some nice clothing options too. I restrained myself this visit but I'm looking forward to my next trip.

On the spur of the moment, we decided to go snowshoeing. We reserved and rented out equipment online at GFA for a very reasonable price. When we picked up the well-maintained snowshoes, Sarah showed us how to properly wear them by adjusting the straps and tightening the bindings with our boots.

They are great at GFA!! They give personal attention to every shopper, whether they are purchasing a kayak or just in there to pick up some socks or gloves. We rented snowshoes for the kids this visit and they were great at providing the perfect match!! We have had our MSR snowshoes we purchased from them for over 10 years now and LOVE them!! Good People :)

I recently discovered this gem of a shop! I went in for some hiking gear and was greeted pleasantly and treated like I was the most important person to ever walk through the doors. The lady behind the counter helped me to find what I needed and explained all that I needed to know about the equipment I was looking at so I could make an educated decision about what to purchase. She was so helpful and friendly and I greatly enjoyed shopping here and will definitely return! I highly recommend this store and their high quality merchandise. Getting to handle the equipment and “try it out” is so much better than buying online!
