"Excellent, knowledgeable service and quality products. The store is not a big box store. The products seem to have been chosen with care and the owners and staff are very knowledgeable about the pro's and con's of each. I received excellent assistance in choosing a water purification solution, insect repellent, hiking boots for SE Asia, and a backpack I've been looking for for 3 years. Gear for Adventure had some nice clothing options too. I restrained myself this visit but I'm looking forward to my next trip."

"On the spur of the moment, we decided to go snowshoeing. We reserved and rented out equipment online at GFA for a very reasonable price. When we picked up the well-maintained snowshoes, Sarah showed us how to properly wear them by adjusting the straps and tightening the bindings with our boots."
