Glenwood Children's Park

A lil park but a good one. The woods next to it are fun to explore to if a little treacherous.

A nice little park with playground equipment for small kids & a bench seat for the parents while they watch the kids.

Love walking my dog through this park. Great little oasis of nature mixed in next to two awesome neighborhoods.

Parking is a little limited. There isn't a lot of equipment. But there are some cool trails through the woods. Probably wouldn't be the best place to go if it's rained recently. My kids had a lot of fun climbing and playing in the woods.

This is a hidden little gem of a park that lets kids play the way we used to, before kids got bubble-wrapped for safety. A kid can hike across a ravine, safe from traffic, hop across a little stream on fallen logs. Have an imaginary tea party on tree stump tables and chairs. Pick wild berries and chase squirrels. Collect pocketfuls of stones. Play hide-and-go-seek among the trees. Go exploring, imitate birdsong. Have a walk and a talk with Grandpa, if his knees allow that. The only amenity is a trash receptacle. No swings, no sport court, no spring-necked horsies to ride on. Just blue sky, rocks, trees, wind, water, and birds. Mud in the spring, shade in the summer, and snow for only about half the year. I've pulled my kids in a sled through this park after a fresh March (or let's face it, April) snowfall, feeling like the only people for miles. It's an oasis of green just off the bike path, and is one of the best parts of living in this neighborhood, whether you are a kid or a kidult.
