4 weeks agoThe wife and I went on an anniversary trip to KC with no agenda or plans. We decided to check out Go Ape and OH MY!!! It was so fun! We are not the “fit”est people but we are by no means unhealthy or fat or anything like that. The Treetop Journey was kind of challenging but it was a blast. You work your way through 3 different obstacle courses each ending in a zip line to the ground. Tons of fun but be sure you stretch before hand as well as wear closed toe shoes! 10/10 would recommend and do again!

6 months agoThis was a fun outing in nature! We tackled the treetop and zip line course, which consists of 5 separate treetop courses, each ending in a zip line. This was different than any zip lining I had done before. In other zip lining activities, I was always provided with a helmet and necessary equipment, I was never taught to use the majority of the equipment and was forced to rely on a staff member for safety checks and equipment handling. Here, you are taught how to use your equipment, you bring or buy gloves for the course, and you navigate almost every obstacle and zip line without any supervision. I was a bit nervous about that aspect at first, but it was quite easy to do on your own - everything is pretty easy - and none of the zip lines are incredibly high. No helmet is required. There is one zip line/obstacle that is assisted by staff because it involves not being hooked to a line with your trolley in the normal way. It’s the Tarzan swing. Know that you can drive up the hill when you first enter at the location where you see the mini hiking parking lot at the bottom of the hill - you don’t need to park there and walk up. Drive up the hill and there is a large parking lot and building along with the treetop courses, axe throwing, and they even set out corn hole to play (we played a game for free as it gave us an additional activity to do while enjoying the nice weather and outdoors).

10 months agoSurprised my hubs with this outdoor adventure today! Would definitely recommend for any family or couple to go. I did find some of the courses challenging and even a few people (in there's mid 40s - 50s I'm guessing) stopped after the 1st course. Trust me we were drenched in sweat by the end. Took about 1.5 hrs after training was done. Water was provided along the way. Couple of recommendations: 1. Wear bug spray 2. Wear a T-shirt and longer shorts. The harness really digs into the skin if you wear too short of shorts 3. Bring something to carry your phone for pics. High probability of it falling out of your pocket during the duration of the course 4. Must wear close-toe shoes and hair must be pulled back

a year agoTook my 13 year old daughter with her brother and a couple friends on the Treetop Journey. They had the absolute best time and I think the course was perfect for their age group! They were all confident after the training and loved exploring it and cheering each other on.

3 years agoVery fun and entertaining. Stay hydrated and be ready to use your strength. It took about 2 hours to complete but you can take as much time as you want. Great staff always having fun and making sure you're having a great time too! Could be a good time for younger kids but lots of physical exertion. If your an adult you WILL , be tested but also have lots of fun
