Great Wolf Lodge Resort Hotel | Sandusky

Visited the lodge for my daughter’s birthday and we were very pleased with everything!! Are room was perfect with the kids themed suite. The birthday package add on was perfect for a celebration. The lodge has several different activities to engage in. Everyday they have a timeline of special events that go on in the lobby for kids to enjoy for free. Not to mention the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I recommend!

Rooms were not bad, food crumbs around bed earing on the floor we nearly stepped on, but overall clean and laid out pretty well. The facility is amazing! The whole family had a blast from the time we arrived until we left. Early check in was convenient, was not expecting that, but from the wrist band door keys, to pools being clean and not as packed as I expected, IT was a wonderful stay and we plan to be back soon. It really is an affordable place in a nice area, with friendly staff. Everyone greeted us, facility is spotless everywhere, which is incredible considering all of the kids running around. Definitely a favorite!

I will start off by saying.This will be our first and our last stay at Great wolf lodge in sandusky ohio. I don't know where to begin first off the The water park is nowhere Near as big as they claim it is Rust on the equipment , the slide in the pool for little kids was chipping and falling apart the pool was slimy and so clouded that you couldn't even see the bottom of it.There was something all through the pool that has the basketball and log thing so wherever you walked it was like walking on pebbles. Next up is the rooms They need to learn how to dust The beds are awful they were That my family of four slept on the floor all 3 nights. After the first night they changed Our room to see if the beds were any better they were Worse. The pillows we had were toddler sized and lumpy. The beds were bo where near a queen size. I don't know If it's because we're on the first floor which is the floor whether the pool was on but the rooms had a musty smell and also smelt like at one point ppl smoked in it. The bathrooms are gross. If we were able to get refunded, we wouldn't never stayed as long as we did.We would have left early and cut our vacation short. Then they put a hundred dollar hold on your card for every night that you're there and Don't tell you until you're there.Which cut into vacation money. then turn around and have to pay Fifteen dollars a day for parking which is stupid that should be included In the resort fee. At this point we will not be going back. Nothing like driving 4.5 hours for that.

We stayed for 2 nights & had a blast. We took advantage of every part of the facility. We have a 5 and 2 year old and I think the waterpark was the perfect size for them but it is very small compared to other water parks. I would say older kids may not have as much fun. The waterpark closes at 8 but they have so many things to do. Very interactive, there’s a dance party, movie night, character meets & arts and crafts every day, all included. The arcade & food are overpriced in my opinion. There are many food places in the area which we opted for instead. Overall it was great, I wouldn’t recommend for older kids though. Also, be prepared because you may not get a good sleep. Very loud banging and slamming all night, I did report (normally not one to do this, as I know kids will be kids & teens will be teens!!! but it was so loud my kids kept waking up afraid and at one point wanted to go home bc of how loud and scary it was for them & we debated leaving one night earlier than what we were supposed to) & it stopped after 2:30am-ish & management was super helpful & generous in this matter so no complaints there. We would come back while the kids are still younger. I don’t think it’s worth the $100 weekend day pass though!! If you spend that much, stay overnight & enjoy everything else it has to offer. We only stayed 1 night and did the wolf pack. It was well worth it! 2 nights here would be worth it too. The staff was really nice & accommodating. We got to enjoy every activity and never felt like there was a long wait for anything! The hotel was clean, prices were reasonable, & the eat in breakfast buffet was good too! I really like the convenience of this location. My only recommendation based on other reviews is to read all the details when booking. We cannot wait to come back! The kids had an absolute blast!!!
