6 months agoThis is our 4th year having our daughter’s birthday party at Hawks Hollow. We absolutely love it! So many things to do, everyone is happy! Petting zoo (you get to walk in with the animals!), ride horses, brush/feed mini horses, and the epic playground with a tree house! The open pavilion is perfect to be able to see everything going on. The staff is wonderful and friendly. We highly recommend!

6 months agoWe spent longer then I thought we would here. Pony ride was very short but my daughter enjoyed it. I loved the petting zoo. She loved the playground. We all loved the ice cream truck!

2 years agoToday was a beautiful day to visit this place. My husband found out they were opening up for their Fall festival which included a petting zoo that included chickens, pigs/hogs, goats, Llamas, donkey, ponies, horses, rabbits, and turkies. The cost was not bad for the whole family, and kids under 2 are free. There were several various vendors, ice cream truck, taco food truck, and grilled food for sale. Parking was good and easy. My god-daughter enjoyed the pony ride. We definitely enjoyed the entire day here. My god-son fed and petted a few animals.

a year agoA great horse and pony farm with a petting zoo, pony parties, a horse riding summer camp, boarding, and riding lessons. My daughter was invited to a pony party here. There were about 4 girls. The party includes a riding lesson, petting zoo time, and t-shirt. Then the girls ran around and played in a fort sort of play area for a while. All of the girls seemed to love it. My daughter fell in love with horseback riding! The girls then moved on to the petting zoo. The birthday girl's mom had brought mini carrots for the girls to give the animals. They were all thrilled! There were a lot of little goats, some little pigs, a small cow, some llama sort of animals, bunnies, a tiny pony or 2. A man stayed with the girls to supervise and make sure everyone was having a good time and safe. He was super friendly. The party was a huge success! Back to the horse riding lessons, the woman who seemed to be the main instructor for the party, Denise, was amazing. (All of the instructors were just great and wonderful with the girls). She has decades of experience, pays careful attention to each child. She made sure they were safe and happy and that the horses were also safe and happy. When we spoke with Denise after the riding part of the party she told us about the lessons. My daughter has been taking weekly lessons with her since! I absolutely love Denise and love the way she brings out the best in my child, firmly but kindly pushing her to face the challenges and overcome them. I like that Denise speaks with me about my thoughts on how she should push my daughter and tells me how she is doing. Denise and the lessons are doing great things for her self-esteem and I can see progress every lesson. She teaches western style. There may be other teachers who teach English style. It is not the cheapest interest, but the lesson prices are reasonable. You can do solo or 2 or more people. Solo costs more of course, but not much more really. Denise looks for another child about the same age and experience level to pair your child with if you are considering 2 person or groups lessons. For what my daughter gets from the lesson, and considering it also goes to the care of the horse she rides as well as the teacher AND to the farm, it is not that much and so very worth every penny. You can go for a lesson to try it out with no commitment, just pay for that lesson and see how it goes. At least with Denise, you are also not locked into some rigid plan. She works with me on scheduling. I just love Denise and am so glad I met her. I love the farm itself and everyone I have met there. The horses, and all of the animals, seem healthy, happy, and well-cared for. The farm is well maintained and really beautiful. It is such a pleasure to go there each week. I highly recomend Hawks Hollow Farm to anyone considering a pony party or lessons. As to boarding, I am betting they are great with the boarded horses as well. I see the staff caring for the horses the entire time I am there for lessons, although I do not know which are theirs and which are boarded. I just cannot speak to their boarding from personal experience as I do not board a horse there. I would trust them from what I have seen though. As to the camp, we may do that next year but we have not participated in that either. Denise does at least some of the instruction in the camp and she is wonderful, so I do know that one of the instructors, at the very least, is awesome and great when working with multiple kids.

6 years agoAttended a birthday party here. The farm was beautiful. So much for the children to play on and experience. Animals were fun and friendly. Toilet looks old however, it works great and it is clean so I wouldn't be concerned about it. Wear boots! 😃
