It's particularly noted for its ability to help kids, even those new to team sports, thrive in a positive culture. The personalized attention from staff, led by Brad, ensures a comfortable and enriching experience, leading to high parent satisfaction and repeat bookings.

Key Highlights

  • Kids are consistently kept 'really engaged throughout the day' with a variety of sports, different games, contests, and fun themes.
  • Special 'highlight' guests are brought in on Fridays, which campers love.
  • The camp is described as 'super organized,' comparable to their well-organized basketball leagues.
  • Cultivates a 'good attitude, supportive culture' that helps children develop and display good sportsmanship (e.g., a child won 'camper of the week for his sportsmanship').
  • Offers a 'bus service option' for convenient transport, even making longer commutes 'well worth' it for parents.
  • Provides 'highlights reels/videos and pictures' to parents, which makes kids feel like 'the main event.'
  • At the beginning of summer, kids received 'care packages with all the goodies they would need for camp' which was exciting for them.
  • Focuses on 'certain sports each week,' which keeps multi-week camp stays fresh and engaging.

Standout Features

  • **Exceptional Organization:** Consistently praised for being 'super organized' for both camps and basketball leagues.
  • **Engaging & Diverse Activities:** Kids are 'really engaged' with sports, games, contests, fun themes, action-packed days, and weekly sport focuses.
  • **Supportive & Caring Staff:** Brad and his team are highlighted for 'hyping up the kids,' fostering 'being a good teammate,' and creating a 'good attitude, supportive culture,' making kids comfortable.
  • **Personalized Accommodations:** Staff (specifically Brad) made 'accommodations, no problem!' for a child who doesn't like to swim.

All Ages: The camp is stated to have 'different programs for kids of all ages,' suggesting it can accommodate a wide range and grow with a child.

Ideal For

Children needing high engagement throughout the day with a variety of sports and games.
First-time participants in team sports or children who need extra support and encouragement with sportsmanship and confidence.
Families seeking a 'super organized' and well-run summer or school break camp experience.
Children aged approximately 6-9 years old, though programs are available for 'kids of all ages'.
Parents who value character development, such as 'being a good teammate' and sportsmanship.
Families looking for extended camp stays, as the weekly sport focuses keep things fresh.
Parents who appreciate photo and video updates of their child's activities.
Children with specific comfort needs (e.g., not wanting to swim), as accommodations can be made.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • **Consider multi-week enrollment:** The weekly focus on different sports helps keep children engaged and prevents boredom even when attending for multiple weeks.
  • **Inquire about bus service:** If you don't live close to the camp, the bus service option is available and deemed 'well worth the extra commuting time.'
  • **Ideal for kids new to team sports:** The camp's 'supportive culture' is particularly beneficial for children who are just starting out in team sports or struggle with patience/self-criticism in these settings.
  • **Communicate specific needs:** The staff (Brad) is accommodating, so parents should feel comfortable discussing specific comfort needs for their child (e.g., aversion to swimming).
  • **Look forward to updates:** Parents can expect highlight videos and pictures, which provide a great peek into their child's day.
  • **Explore other programs:** The organization also offers 'fall and winter basketball leagues,' which are similarly well-organized and fun.

Our son (first grade) absolutely loves Hi-Five Camp! We started with summer camp and have now done lots of the school break camps as well, and each time our son always wants to come back! They do a great job keeping the kids really engaged throughout the day with sports, different games, contests, and even lots of fun themes. We will definitely be coming back for winter break and summer again!

We had the best experience at high five. This was our first year and the coaches were great. I have 2 boys, ages 7 and 9 and both boys loved the activities, the highlights were Fridays when they would bring in special guests. Everything was very well thought out and Brad is a master at making the kids comfortable. My younger son doesn’t like to swim and Brad made accommodations, no problem! Love that! We will definitely be back next year!!

We love Hi-Five Sports! Our family was first introduced through their fall and winter basketball leagues which were so well organized and fun! Then we tried spring break camp and finally this summer we did a couple weeks of camp. Just like basketball, the camp is super organized. At the beginning of the summer the kids got care packages with all the goodies they would need for camp. (So exciting!) Then at camp the kids get to play all the sports and have action packed days. The kids came home excited to share the events of the day. I fear that no other camp will ever live up to the Hi- Five experience!! So good!

This is the best sports camp in Chicago! Brad and his team do such a great job hyping up the kids and getting them excited about sports and being a good teammate. The camp is very organized with a focus on certain sports each week which keeps is fun and engaging for kids who are spending multiple weeks at the camp. I also love the highlights reels/videos and pictures that they do and it really shows the kids that they are the main event! Even though we don't live very close to the camp itself, between the bus service option and carpooling with friends, it's well worth the extra commuting time. I know this camp will grow with my son as there are different programs for kids of all ages, and honestly I hope that he will be a counselor one day here too. Thanks Brad for everything that you do here and pouring your heart into this camp and program!

My son Teddy had a FANTASTIC time at Hi-Five Sports Camp this year! He had never really played team sports before this, and was always hard on himself and inpatient with others in these settings. He really thrived in the good attitude, supportive culture built here, and actually won camper of the week one week for his sportsmanship. We will be returning next year!
