"I love sitting out on the water during the evening. If you fish you'll see some big fish come near the bank. The early morning as well. Best of you come with some kind of shade maker, because it's hot during the day but the water is lovely. Some spots you will get a snag but it's fun. Come find me there."

"This is a great spot for paddle boarding. Pay to park at the box at the stop sign when you come in. You can also park on the street before you come in the gate but it is a good walk if you carry your board. There is an easy entry, a boat ramp and shoreline. If you stay to the right you will be in a gentle current. You can easily paddle most of the way to Watt ave. It gets a little harder when you get to the last turn. You can cross the river and stay to the left to go around the island to pass that current. It's a nice float back to Howe Ave. If it's early in the season you have to paddle hard"

"First time using the Howe River Access when my wife and I wanted to take a walk. I didn't realize it was going to cost $7 to park when we were just going to walk for an hour or so. We walked towards Watt Ave and this section of the trail doesn't offer many views on the river but a lot of this section is wooded which is nice too."
