"This park is on the bay, where the Providence and Seekonk rivers meet, and located in the Fox Point neighborhood of Providence. It was established in 1680 as the first port in Providence; it was a major transportation hub for material goods and passengers. Tea and spices were traded with the East and West Indies, hence the name India Point. Steamships transported passengers from Baltimore, Miami, and Philadelphia. There's so much history there. There was a wide fishing dock and plenty of people fishing on it when we went; signs all around mentioning to not gut the fish on the dock, once caugh"

"Heaven in Providence especially if you need to be closer to nature and hear yourself think***And then bring the kids. Before the playground or soccer, there was good old fashioned rolling down the hills, dog watching and plenty of space for jogging or laying in the grass. Fox Point Elementary Alumni remember the end of the year Field Day ✨"

"India Point Park is a small, really nice park on the water in Providence. It was recommended to us by someone in town and we were glad they told us about it. It's looks our at a shipping dock. There are short walking paths, green areas, docks you can walk out on. Picnic areas. On a nice weather evening it is a lovely place to be."
