2 months agoA fun place for kids to have fun and learn. My kids loved the special exhibit where they could make anything they wanted with cardboard. They spent over an hour letting their creativity take over. They made several different cardboard creations. I appreciate that the Museum validates parking. So if you’re wondering about parking know there is plenty of parking and it will be validated.

4 months agoAbsolutely love this museum. Check their calendar of events, there is always some fun activity going on. We always enjoy the Christmas time event they throw. We come each year and explore the festive rooms, ride the train, and get a photo with Santa. Our favorite event is the Tinkerfest. I think that was the event that convinced us to get a membership. Plus free parking! The restaurant is really nice as well. Sometimes we pack our lunch and enjoy it at the restaurant or outside by the canal if the weather is nice. If the school lunchroom is open and the kiddos are a bit rowdy I prefer to eat our lunch in there. Overall, this is a fun museum that always has different enjoyable events going on.

3 weeks agoTook the family here and have no regrets. Was an awesome experience overall and each exhibit was interesting for the adults as well as the kids. It's especially a good deal if you happen to have the reciprocal museum membership through Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry (free admission!)

4 months agoDuration: 3-5hours Parking: paid parking garage attached Medium size Museum highlighting Indiana's history starting with its natural history on the ground floor and then showcasing Indiana's cultural history with a focus on the early settler days. Overall, it is not one of my favorite museums, it features very few artifacts and is not very engaging. Would love to see the exhibits updated to feel more like the smithsonian's American History Museum highlighting Indiana as rich culture and history.

4 months agoThis museum is a very nice place! There are a lot of things I like and it is great to imagine what my interests are today and the construction of the machines! Personally, I would be happy if you could put more old machines and other equipment! Thanks.
