White River State Park is such a beautiful and relaxing spot right in the heart of Indianapolis. It’s perfect for walking, biking, or just enjoying some time outdoors. The park is really well-maintained, with scenic views along the canal and lots of green space to spread out and unwind. There are plenty of attractions nearby, like the Indianapolis Zoo, the Eiteljorg Museum, and Victory Field, which makes it a great place to spend the whole day. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk or a fun day with family and friends, this park has something for everyone. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Indy!

White River State Park is a must-visit when you're in Indianapolis! It’s a massive urban park with so much to do—beautiful trails, open green spaces, and some incredible attractions like the Indianapolis Zoo and the Indiana State Museum. I loved walking along the canal; the views are gorgeous, especially near sunset. It’s a peaceful escape from the city while still being close to everything. Whether you’re looking to bike, paddleboat, or just enjoy a picnic, this park has something for everyone. Highly recommend spending a few hours here if you’re in town!

On a road trip with my dog, this was a great way to see the cityscape of Indianapolis and also take my dog for a walk along the river & canal. The park is beautifully kept up with plenty of space to explore. I am very happy I chose this as one of our pitstops! I would plan an hour if you want to take your time walking. The zoo, NCAA Hall of Champions, and other museums are also located in the park. If you are also visiting any of those sites, then plan on being there for the day.

Beautiful, well-maintained and a quiet park across the White River canal. Vast green grass ground gives the feel of smooth woollen blanket on the earth, giving a soothing experience when one walks on bare foot. People come in group or as couple or alone but every one enjoys spending leisure time with nature surrounded by great buildings of JW Marriott and others. Friendly footpath, resting spots need special mention. Memorable time guaranteed.
