3 months agoWe've been going to Indigo Play for years now and it's one of my kids favorite places. Over the years I have seen some improvements- better food options, alcoholic & coffee beverages, seating, bathroom changing tables, cubby area, etc. but also some things I feel like take away from the original vibe- the arcade area to be specific. This was I place I could take my littles without worrying about them being tempted by screens and flashing lights until that was installed. It was an open toy play area originally, turned into a bookstore, and now one or both of those things have kind of been moved into the little rooms to the side with a small selection of play stuff. It also seems to be a little less clean but still clean enough imo. We do love the 6 other different soft areas they have: the infant area, toddler area, play town area, sensory room, big kid structure, and enclosed space attached to the back of the big kid structure that has balls and soft building blocks, etc. The sensory room used to have balls in the ball pit but now they have foam blocks which I think is a better option. My one complaint about that space though, is from the beginning the interactive piano has not functioned well, sometimes not at all, and the interactive lights in the pit are half out at this point and have never been fixed that I am aware of. The other spaces they have done well with, and the kids love the diverse options, especially in the big kid structure which consists of open and enclosed slides, educational tidbits, climbing, tunnels, a sitting short zipline-type thing, obstacles, mazes, small rock wall, monkey bars, balancing objects, free-form play objects, a secret hideout, and more. We have also been to birthday parties, puppet shows, and other special events hosted here, all which have been run smoothly. I will say they have increased their price over the years, which is to be expected, but it's quite expensive when bringing multiple kids. Also, don't forget the same-day half off deal between Indigo & the Austin Aquarium next door, which we usually take advantage of and get a good half day out of it. Overall we will continue coming here as my kids love it (they're now 2.5 & 5.5 and we've been coming since the oldest was a crawler) and I hope they continue being a great place with friendly staff to visit and only improve!

2 weeks agoLove this place for regular play However the Easter egg hunt advertised was a bust We arrived on time and started 3 min into start time Indigo play charged 45 dollars There were ZERO eggs about 10 kids had all the eggs and the other kids got none - the eggs in our basket are from another kid sharing Huge waste of money when there are so many free egg hunt options elsewhere.

3 weeks agoVery similar experience to Mt Playmore with a little more toddler areas/activities. The ball pit area smelled like feet 👣, and it was dark in there (dimmed lighting💡or spotlights would be better). Overall, my 1st grader enjoyed the slides 🛝 on the larger playscape, and my toddler also had fun. I'm not sure how often they clean 🧽🧼 the play areas, but there is handsanitizer throughout multiple areas. Plenty of seating and massage chairs. There is limited food 🍕🌭🧃🥤 Decent spot to take kiddos when it's blazing hot 🌞 outside.

a month agoFirst time I've been here but I've been to similar other indoor playgrounds in and around the Austin area. Comparing my experience with the others, this indoor playground was a disappointment. I'll start with the Pros first. Pros: 1. the main playground in the middle has themes with scavenger hunts for the kids to do (if kids stood there just to read all that, kudos for them). 2. Different play zones. 3. Food and drink menu items were reasonable. Cons: 1. Food-tasted cheap. Nothing hand made. 2. Crowded and poorly controlled 3. Play areas were not maintained regularly. a. There were nets that were torn where toddlers or smaller kids would fall through. The wear was greatly noticeable. b. Dirty, broken piano and infinity mirror, and smelly 4. It was warm in there and it isn't even summer yet (review 03/2025). 5. Management/staff was inexperienced and didn't care. Arrived being greeted well, but after that, most employees were on their phones not paying attention to their surroundings because there was about 3 times where the kid-proof exit doors were WIDE open, and kids were just back and forth through them. Then there was no outdoor food or drink control at all. Saw people with Starbucks coffees and foods not from the consessions all strewn about left unattended in TODDLER areas. Lastly, big kids were in those toddler areas unattended, pushing and some had unintentionally kneed my kid in the head. This is a lack of staff managed areas. Never once have I seen one employee enforce any of these rules they had spammed posters all over. Overall, there are better indoor playgrounds my kid loved more that were cleaner, better experienced staff, and better food. Unfortunately, nothing would convince me to come back here unless a friend had a birthday party here or if I saw the place has improved.
