"Just want to share our visit here at Johnson's Beach. We had a great time here. We spent a night in one of the new cabins and it was quite pleasant. Very modern amenities, king sized bed and nice little outdoor area in front of the cabin with a fire pit and picnic table. The beach itself was very clean. The river was very calm when we went in early August. We rented a double kayak for $65. We would have liked it if we could have gone further down the river where it's closed off. "I actually stayed here for a half day during Labor Day weekend and enjoyed the kayaking on the Russian river. This review is mainly for the kayak and equipment renting. Overall very good experience. Rent price is reasonable and service is fairly quick. River is very calm and beginner friendly. Good full day trip for whole family. It also has burger, hotdog, fries, drinks to sell all reasonable price. Recommend this place for beginners to enjoy kayaking!"
