Expert Summary

Detailed Insights

Jubilee Zoo offers a highly interactive and unique animal experience beyond typical petting zoos, featuring opportunities like bottle-feeding baby goats, interacting with kangaroos (who hold their own cones!), petting zebras, and even getting kissed by a camel. It provides a family-friendly atmosphere with additional attractions like bounce houses and a splash pad, making it a diverse entertainment option.

Key Highlights

  • Interactive kangaroo and wallaby encounters, where they hold their own food cones.
  • Opportunity to bottle-feed baby goats.
  • Hay rides that are considered 'soooo worth it'.
  • Direct interaction with animals like getting kissed by a camel and petting a zebra.
  • Bounce houses suitable for both children and adults.
  • Splash pad available, requiring swim shorts.
  • Very clean and well-kept facility with no typical 'barn smell'.
  • Generally friendly and family-oriented staff, though inconsistent at closing.
  • Pumpkin patch with cute photo opportunities available in the fall.

Standout Features

  • Unique animal encounters: kangaroos, wallabies, baby goats, camels, zebras.
  • Variety of activities: petting zoo, bounce houses, splash pad, hay ride, make your own stuffed animal.
  • Cleanliness: Facility is very clean and well-kept, lacking typical farm smells.
  • Ample shade available.
  • Family-friendly atmosphere that makes visitors feel like part of the family (though this can be inconsistent based on closing experiences).
  • Good pizza available on-site.

Perfect For

Perfect for young children (toddlers to early elementary) who enjoy animal interaction and bounce houses, as baby goats and other animals are highly accessible.
Children of all ages will likely enjoy the unique animal encounters and the bounce houses.
Adults can also enjoy the bounce houses, indicating broad appeal.

Ideal For

Families seeking a highly interactive and hands-on animal experience.
Children who love petting and feeding animals, especially unique ones like kangaroos and camels.
Parents looking for a family-friendly venue with bounce houses and a splash pad.
A fun outing for children who enjoy active play and diverse attractions.
Fall visits for themed photo opportunities.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Arrive early in the day to maximize play time and potentially avoid crowds, especially if you wish to do multiple activities like the hay ride.
  • Bring swim shorts for children if you plan to utilize the splash pad.
  • Purchase tickets online in advance for potentially smoother entry (one reviewer was among the first ones there with online tickets).
  • If arriving close to closing time (within the last 1.5-2 hours), explicitly confirm the exact closing time and whether all attractions will remain open until then, due to inconsistent experiences reported.
  • Be aware that bounce houses or other activities might be shut down prior to the stated closing time, and staff may be reluctant to restart them.
  • Consider fall visits for the small pumpkin patch and photo ops.

Things to Consider

  • Inconsistent enforcement of closing times: one visit staff allowed staying until 5:30 PM, another visit staff was rude and demanded leaving by 4:58 PM.
  • Activities like bounce houses may be deliberately deflated early (e.g., at 4:45 PM before stated closing time of 5:00 PM), even if customers are still present.
  • Staff can become aggravated and rude when enforcing early closing or requests for activities to be reactivated.
  • Potential for very poor value if arriving late and activities are prematurely closed or staff is uncooperative (e.g., $65.00 for 30 minutes of play).
  • Pumpkin patch is described as 'very small'.

Price & Value

Admission is described as "very reasonable". However, specific incidents highlight potential for extremely poor value if closing policies are strictly or rudely enforced, with one family paying $65.00 for effectively only 30 minutes of play. There are no other hidden costs mentioned, but on-site pizza and 'make your own stuffed animal' are available purchases.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accommodations for special needs or accessibility features are mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Pizza is available on-site and described as 'really good'.
  • No mention of outside food policy.

🚗Parking Info

  • No specific details about parking are mentioned in the reviews.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Generally not crowded, described as a family-friendly atmosphere unlike corporate zoos.
  • Arriving early in the day can ensure you are 'the first ones there', suggesting less crowds.

🛡️Safety Features

  • No specific safety features are explicitly mentioned in the reviews beyond general supervision, though staff attention is implied by the baby goat chasing a child to be pet (taken positively by the reviewer).

When to Avoid

  • Arriving within the last hour or hour-and-a-half of operation, as activities may be prematurely closed, and staff can be rude about enforcing departures, leading to poor value.
  • If you expect a large, elaborate pumpkin patch, as it is described as 'very small'.
  • If you require consistent and friendly staff interaction at all times, particularly near closing.

So much for the kids to do here. Had a great time. Plenty of shade. Want to pet a kangaroo or wallaby ? (They hold the cones themselves, so cute ! ) want to bottle feed a baby goat ? This is the place to go. Admission is very reasonable and staff is super nice.

It honestly pains me to give this place only three stars. But, after our last visit, I have no choice. My husband said to give ONE star. But, the first time that we ever went, it was a five star visit. So, I averaged it out by giving three stars. My son had been asking to come back here since the first time we visited last summer & it seemed like every time we tried to go, we got rained out. Then I saw their Facebook post about the little pumpkin patch that they added for fall, with some adorable photo ops. So I thought what a perfect time to take him! My husband does not get off work until 2:45 & we live an hour away so we unfortunately did not get there until right at 4:00. Which is the same time we got here the first time we ever visited & when we were buying the tickets the nice lady informed us that they close at 5:00 & wanted to make sure we still wanted to buy tickets. Which I thought was really, really nice of her! I asked her if we would have to leave right at 5:00 & she said no not until 5:30 or so because they had a lot to do. Well this time that wasn't the case at all. My son was having a great time playing on the bounce houses & had to potty so I didn't even put his shoes back on him, I carried him inside to pee. When we came back out, the bounce houses were completely deflated! My son bawled his eyes out & I gave my husband a look that I rarely give him. So he went inside & told them we would pay extra or do whatever we had to, to have the bounce houses blown back up. Especially because it was only 4:45! So they did, reluctantly & you could tell that they were aggravated. But I know they saw not only my son's shoes still there but all of our stuff! They deliberately deflated them while we were all in the bathroom. Then at two minutes till 5:00, a guy came out & rudely told us to wrap it up!!! I honestly can't even begin to express my disappointment in this trip. We paid $65.00 for basically 30 minutes of play. 😔 We all three left sad, especially my son. On a POSITIVE note, the pumpkin patch is very small but the photo ops are pretty dang cute. And they have a few neat things setup to do in the barn. We also got to see a kangaroo with a baby it's in a pouch, which was a really neat experience.

Was skeptical because of some bad reviews. Got to say we loved it. We had a blast. Most zoos are crowded and corporate atmosphere. This was family friendly and staff made us feel like part of their family. We stayed long enough for the hay ride and it was soooo worth it. Getting kissed by a camel and petting a zebra was awesome! The pizza was really good. The bounce houses were great for my daughter. We even bought a make your own stuffed animal. I am proud that we got to help support such a great place. One of the baby goats got out and chased my daughter down to be pet 😂 they even have a splash pad so bring your swim shorts!

My family and I had lots of fun! I even went in the bouncy house and went from 47 to feeling like 7 again! We were the first ones there and got our tickets online.
