a week agoCoffee and Kids is hands down one of the best family-friendly spots I’ve visited. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Ken, who was incredibly kind and welcoming—it’s clear he’s passionate about creating a space that truly works for both kids and parents. The layout and design are like nothing I’ve seen before in a play area: modern, open, and thoughtfully planned. My kids had an absolute blast, and I actually got to enjoy a great cup of coffee in a beautiful, relaxing space. If I had one suggestion, it would be to expand on the sensory room—it’s a great concept, and adding a few more features could make it even more amazing. That said, we’ll absolutely be coming back!

2 months agoWhat a joy!! This is the best indoor playground we’ve been to so far and I’ve been on a journey to try them all in San Diego county 🥹 where to start, the staff are very helpful and give you a quick walkthrough and rundown. The place was very clean and well tended to. (I saw a few people picking up toys and vaccuming! Yesss!) I love the Scandinavian aesthetic and cool tones with the earthy juxtaposition. It’s not overstimulating at all and feels very relaxing :) Everything is big enough that adults can get in there and crawl around too which is nice when you want to actually PLAY with your kid at an indoor playground! I went down the slide like 20 times with my daughter and she had a blast! I really like that they include slippers for the bathroom and it was very clean in there. My only suggestion would be to add a little seat cover for toddlers who are potty trained to sit on the toilet. I saw that at another playplace and thought it was a really convenient touch. But this place far exceeds any other indoor playground in the area so I can easily overlook minor a convenience lol I haven’t been on the weekend yet so I imagine it might be more crowded and the toys might get crazy but the workers seem to be well organized. The play area is definitely big enough that you won’t feel crammed together or overwhelmed if it is busy. But I think coming during the week is your best bet if you want some playtime with extra room. We will definitely be back and I’ll be spreading the word to other military moms in the area! I hope this business will thrive and flourish because it’s much appreciated! 🥹

4 months agoWe absolutely love Kids&Coffee! Not only is this place a wonderland for kids but its also a fun place for adults too. I love how the grown ups can be immersed in playing with the little ones because of how well and unique the play areas are planned out and made in such a way that it is safe for both kids and adults to play in. Staff are friendly, the place is clean, never crowded and most of all I get to enjoy my coffee too! Truly a great concept!

a month agoI have been to Kids and Coffee two times. I think it is a nice concept but social media overhypes this place. It is $30 for two hours of play and other reviews have mentioned the ridiculous cost of charging for additional adults, etc. Their coffee was overpriced ($8 for a mediocre latte) compared to the typical $6 you spend at a Starbucks. Additionally, the times I have interacted with the staff members, they don't seem particularly happy to be there. I am sure this business has a high overhead cost to make ends meet but I don't think the cost is worth the experience. There was only one staff member working on the floor. A comparable play place is a business in the Mira Mesa area called Tiny Tiger. At that place, it's $20 for two hours or play, is much bigger, and they have several staff members sanitizing the equipment/toys and keeping the place tidy. At Kids and Coffee, a monthly unlimited membership is $150-160. At Tiny Tiger, it is $55 a month and includes two adults. Kids and Coffee was pretty dirty today. My daughter had an accident (she is newly potty trained) and it took me a while to find the sole worker on the floor so I could clean up her mess. (They charge $5 for grippy socks and Tiny Tiger charges $3). In the time it took to find the worker, another child had his hands on my daughter's urine despite my friend trying to keep kids away from the place. I also breastfed my son in the cafe area and have included pictures of how dirty it is. Although this place is new, they have pieces of equipment that is breaking from wear and tear. I like the concept of this place but there are much, much better indoor play areas for a better cost. I hope the owners take the feedback from my review and others but I doubt it will happen based off the excuses of the experience manager. Please do me a favor and check out Tiny Tiger instead. It is a much better experience.

5 months agoWe really enjoyed ourselves at this spot! It is beautifully designed and really fun for the parents to crawl through as well. It’s extremely spacious and the materials used seem like high-quality and soft. That being said, there were a couple of cons that I think the business could easily fix to improve their guests experience given the price tag. Their bathroom is not child friendly and was extremely dirty when I went in. Everything looked like it had a layer of sticky even the full mirror. It was seriously neglected. If you have a toddler who doesn’t like a changing table, there’s really no place to change their diaper. And the changing table(1) isn’t great. I would say if they could make their bathroom more child friendly and keep it clean that would be a huge plus. They do have loaner slippers that people can wear into the bathrooms, which I think is really nice so the floors don’t get dirty outside. The imaginary kitchen area was an absolute disaster too. The only game I can see kids playing there is maybe imaginary Red Cross relief because it was a disaster. I was really disappointed that their café wasn’t ready yet (especially since we still paid full admission) so I can’t speak to that but I think it’s gonna look super cute and the Snacks they had available for purchase were healthy and good. Overall, I know this is a brand new business and it’s been executed really well with Minor things that I think they could improve on. That being said, we would definitely go back It’s a beautiful space, thoughtfully curated, fun for parents and kids, and the owners are really nice.
