🍎Food Policy

• • Optional catered lunch is available for Summer Camp ($48/week for 5 days, or $11 for Pizza Friday only).
• • One snack is provided during the regular camp day, and one additional snack if attending post-camp.
• • An allergy table is available during lunchtime for campers with severe food allergies; all lunches are checked by staff for allergens.
• • Parents can inform staff if their child should not receive provided snacks.
• • Allergies (food and Epi-Pen necessity) must be listed during online registration.
• • For medication administration, a medical dosage form must be filled out and given to staff at drop-off. Medications must be in original containers and match the form.
• • Epi-Pens or Inhalers are carried by the child's counselor.
• • Staff is not trained to administer insulin or Diazepam for seizures.
• • Lunch is not an option for Dallas Seasonal Camps (Fall Fest, Winter Camp, Spring Fest); only snacks are provided by Kidventure.

🛡️Safety Policy

• • All staff are adults (18+), with most being certified teachers or education majors.
• • All staff are CPR/First Aid certified (Infant, Child, and Adult) and receive training in state-approved Sexual Abuse Prevention.
• • Every team member undergoes annual criminal background and sex offender registry checks.
• • Counselor-to-camper ratios are 1:6 for Discoverers and 1:12 for Explorers.
• • Kidventure is a licensed Youth Camps Program under the Texas Department of State Health Services and undergoes annual inspections.
• • Field trips for Explorers have strict safety protocols: 1:12 counselor-to-camper ratio, counselors at front and back of line, headcounts, extra staff, organized rotations, campers must stay with their group, and travel on full-size buses (most with seatbelts and restrooms).
• • Swimming field trips include a mandatory swim test on the first day of swimming each week. Campers receive wristbands based on their swim test results (pass: access to all open zones; fail: restricted to shallow areas/splash areas, require a life jacket). Lifeguards are present in addition to camp staff. Specific water park rules apply to different attractions (e.g., Explorers require life jackets in wave pools, water structures are typically 12 inches deep).
• • Severe Weather Preparedness plans are in place; all Overnight Camp facilities (general company info) are located on high ground and outside of floodplains.
• • Kidventure operates a technology-free campus: cell phones and other electronics must be kept off and put away in a bag, or preferably left at home. Smartwatches are permitted only for checking time and passive fitness tracking.
• • Kidventure is not responsible for any lost or stolen items at camp.
• • Kidventure camp shirts are required daily for Explorers when making off-site trips to aid in quick identification. Shirts are also required during the rest of the week as Kidventure may not be the only program at the facility. Discoverer shirts are Blue, Explorer shirts are Red.

📅Booking Policy

• • Summer Camp 2026 Open Registration begins February 4, 2026 at 9 AM.
• • Seasonal Camp Registration (Fall Fest, Winter Camp) opens October 1, 2025.
• • Fall Fest Camp: Requires a $100 deposit at registration. Balance auto-billed on November 1st.
• • Winter Camp: Requires a $100 deposit at registration for all cities. Balance auto-billed on December 5th.
• • Spring Fest Camp (Dallas): Requires a $100 deposit at registration. Balance auto-billed on February 27th.
• • A payment plan is available: pay the deposit at checkout, and the remaining balance will be auto-billed on the specified dates for seasonal camps.
• • A Camp Newsletter is sent every Thursday before camp with information on what to bring, carline details, and highlighted activities.
• • The Kidventure App (Apple/Android) shares information and photos of camp.

🚗Parking Information

• • Curbside drop-off and pick-up operates via carline.
• • Drop-off is from 7:45 AM - 8:15 AM, and pick-up is from 3:00 PM - 3:15 PM.
• • For Post Camp pick-up (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM), parents typically pull up to the designated camp entrance and text a number on a whiteboard to have their child escorted out.
• • A family pick-up number or Driver's License/ID is required for camper retrieval.
