a year agoMy daughter had a wonderful experience at Legacy. The basketball coachs was amazing 👏 they sparked her interest in playing basketball. She made tie die shirts, arts and crafts outdoor activities and more. The procare app allows you to communicate with staff and review up coming events. The staff was professional and caring. This was my first experience at Legacy, it felt good to know she was in good hands. This camp is a gem in the heart of Harlem. I highly recommend this establishment.

a year agoThis is our daughter's 3rd Summer with Legacy and she loves it. The staff is warm and welcoming. We love Ms. Cece. She's not only fun but she looks after our daughter as if she was her own. They've adapted during the pandemic and every year add on more and more trips and activities for the campers. This summers Basketball camp was an excellent addition and the highlight of her summer. On the weekends we continue to foster the skills that she learned. The friendships she has made continue even when camp is done. My husband and I totally recommend Legacy Harlem Summer Camp and we'll be back next year!

a year agoWhile in a crisis I was having a hard time securing summer camp for my 5 year old daughter and Legacy Summer Camp was the only affordable camp with space just days before the first day of camp. The enrollment process was extremely easy as everything is done online. Payment is also conveniently tracked and monitored on an app provided by the camp. The app ProCare makes everything from drop off to instant communication with staff very easy. While the camp is affordable keep in mind you will have to pay for trips. There are also VERY strict rules regarding morning drop off and early pick up. If you arrive outside of the allocated time you will not be allowed to drop your child off and/or will need to wait until regular pick up time. Overall, despite my only dismay with the pick up policy my daughter enjoyed her experience at Legacy much better than her last summer experience at YMCA and has asked to return to Legacy next summer. I believe the small atmosphere is extremely beneficial for children like my daughter who have social and or behavioral issues. She was greeted by name and encouraged to be her best self everyday. She is a not easily pleased Gemini so I know her experience was GRAND to receive a compliment and request to return.

a year agoWe love this camp! My daughter is in the 5- and 6-year-old group. This is her first summer attending. The staff create a great sense of community for the kids and parents. The price is amazing for the service you get. The campers attend 4 to 5 trips each session. It is sometimes hard to keep up, lol! Significantly more than the camps around the area that are double the price. Mr. Edison is amazing! You can tell he takes pride in how things are running. Mr. Jojo is also phenomenal! He takes such amazing care of my baby while she is there. I am not sure about other's experiences, but this camp is the best option. I have recommended it to all my friends and family. We will absolutely be back next year!

a year agoThis is my son’s second year attending Legacy Summer Camp in Harlem. He loves it and I love it because he comes home exhausted. The staff is attentive to the children. I love the response time with staff using the Procare app. Edison is very hands on with daily operations which is a plus. Any issues that I have had have been resolved quickly.
