5 months agoI really like this place. Great park to picnic on the long Island sound by the water. There's a walking/ jogging/ biking trail that runs between the sound and the cross island parkway. I usually stop and do some stone balancing. Very therapeutic. Only current issue is the view from the benches overlooking the sound, is obstructed by overgrowth. Seems the place hasn't been tended to in a long time aside from mowing the edge of the path.

7 months agoLittle Bay Park is a hidden gem that offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The vistas are simply breathtaking, making it the perfect backdrop for a romantic date or a peaceful evening stroll. At night, the park transforms into an even more enchanting spot, with the city lights twinkling in the distance. The paths are well-maintained and ideal for walking your dog, providing both exercise and scenic beauty. However, a word of caution: be careful when walking on the rocks, as they can be steep. Despite this minor drawback, the park's natural beauty and tranquil ambiance make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're there for a daytime adventure or a moonlit walk, Little Bay Park promises an unforgettable experience.

a year ago2023-0822 Returned for more free kayaking with HarborLab and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. Wow 5 years has passed. A very lovely and popular spot. It seems the bindweed won and the lovely plantings in front of the rest rooms have been removed. 2018-0526 A great little park which would be much much better if there wasn't a parking lot. Was likely here as part of a group providing free kayaks and kayaking.
