a month agoThere are many miles of paved and dirt trails to satisfy any activity. If you have children go early in the morning, especially on the weekends, to avoid accidents with speeding bicyclists

2 years agoMcAllister Park is a lovely place to ride a bicycle or walk the paths, which are nice and wide. The park is joined with Lady Bird Johnson Park, and several more parks as well. It's really pretty neat. There aren't many places to stop and sit, but there are at least a couple of nice benches available. It was such a pretty day and I enjoyed very much the peace and quiet beneath the shade trees, listening to the wind rustling through the leaves and the melodies of the various birds calling out to each other. And did y'all know that McAllister also has a dog park? I watched as several dogs seemed to enjoy the freedom the fenced off area provides. On a less positive note, I have to say I wasn't thrilled with the porta potty I braved utilizing. It was disgusting and had no closure on the door... Not a private potty, to be sure, but I'm happy to say at least there was toilet tissue on the spindle.

6 months agoThese trails I feel are the most well maintained. Some trails are more technical and some are just super fast but all of them are exciting and you’ll even have a nice blend of trails and paved paths if you’re just trying to chill. The park itself is huge and even has a dedicated dog park area too. This is one of my favorite places to ride

6 years agoBig park, nice place, easy/med trails some paved others not, marked on the maps... They don't have any "you are here --> " dots so it's hard to tell where you are in the park unless your familiar with the area. Nice playgrounds for kids and adults.
