Mill Mountain Zoo

"I love this zoo. It has a large variety of animals for a smaller zoo. The zoo was also easy to navigate. I'm not sure what some reviews are talking about when they say the enclosures are small or the animals are malnourished. They seemed very healthy and happy to me. The staff were super friendly and the gift shop had a bunch of cute things to buy, most of which were inexpensive like stickers, small plushies and train whistles. "Friendly staff, and off the beaten path. The best thing here is it’s great for just a quick trip. They have a decent amount of animals my kids had never seen at other zoos."

"Very friendly staff with a variety of animals, despite the smallness of the zoo. We bought our tickets in advance on the website so it was quick to enter. I recommend seeing the snow leopard and the pallas cat, both are quite cute. Bear was hibernating as it is winter right now, so we didn't see them. It was quite chilly this day, and started snowing as we made our way through, so some of the animals were in their homes but overall we saw quite a bit. It was a pleasure to see the unintentional mascot, the chipmunk. I will absolutely come back here someday, especially in the spring or fall. Som"
