I spent a wonderful day hiking on the NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail with my family, and it was truly unforgettable. The trail offered stunning views, and we enjoyed the scenic beauty of North Carolina's diverse landscapes. We had a great time exploring together and making memories. I highly recommend hiking during daylight hours for safety and to fully appreciate the scenery. Also, be sure to wear bright clothing during hunting seasons to stay visible.

I LOVE ❤️ a good walking trail that offers privacy. I wanted to walk closer to home but needed some water therapy. I jumped on Google and found this trail 5 minutes from my home. Parking is ridiculous; there isn’t any really. It’s just a spot off of the road so I’d suggest parking tightly so others can park as well. When you first arrive there’s a gate that has a rope making you second guess stepping over, but I read all the signs and it made me feel more comfortable to step over. I did notice a sign that mentioned hunting happens so I’d definitely wear brighter clothing just to be safe. Anyway the trail is not paved but it’s there once you get into the trees you’ll notice the tree markers so you don’t get lost. The highlight of this trail is by far the bridge that crosses the lake. I sat there for hours just listening to the water, the fish jumping and the birds dropping by. It’s a pretty epic spot to just reconnect. I’ve been 3xs and not once have I ran into anyone there. It feels extremely private and relaxing. My important take away are: •Parking is jankey, so lock doors and pull off the road as much as you can. •Definitely do not go at sun down or late, you definitely could get turned around. • Wear colors that can be seen through the trees •Wear socks! I got a few bites when I didn’t. • Enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature right in the heart of the city.
